Best thing? It is nearly opposite the convention centre - so very easy access. Good hot water for shower. Sadly they have a lot to do. It was hot in Adelaide - walked into the room and it was hoit and stuffy. My alarm bells went off when I saw a pedestal fan near the bed. I looked - the only 'air con was a switch on the wall to go from low to high fan. I flicked to high. No difference. I thought no problems - I will open window. The curatins hid windows that were sealed shut and had frosting over them, Peering through the edge of the frosting it was some little enclave with lots of pigeons that woke me up each day (others were complaining about this too). They were fully booked so could not change rooms, and their comment was we can send yo ua fan - I said I had one. I put some water in the bar fridge to cool to make my shake the next morning. It froze solid. (Maybe I should have left the door open to cool the room.) Access to the bathroom was through a narrow door and up a step. After a knee replacement this was a little alarming. My side of the bed was comfortable. When I sat on the side near the fridge the mattress was very soft and floppy. The desk was good so I could work, but no arm chair or anythign other than the bed and desk.

Good nice surrundings location good for going to places price is good can catch transport tram bus or train walking toplaces is easy.........shopping food markets are close by plus entertainments parks and more markets and festival theatres

Old and Tired

Don't be fooled by the fact this is an Accor Hotel, it is very old and tired. Dark, narrow hallways with stained carpet and very small cell like rooms. Had to pay extra to upgrade as first room had painted over window to hide the block wall next door. The staff were hit and miss, my husband encountered a very rude European gentleman who wasn't happy about storing our bags and let forth when we weren't sure what names the company had booked our rooms in. Other staff were quite pleasant. The hotel is also situated in the seedier end of town, certainly wouldn't recommend it and won't be staying again.

First time stay a this hotel. Very old and nostalgic. Rooms clean and bed comfortable. Was upgraded to suite and appreciated it . Thank you. Also great pub next door for a good steak. Thank you for your hospitality.

Property is excellent for the price point. Didn't have an issue with the carpet or smells as other reviewers said. Bathroom was excellent. Beds are on wheels so if that is problem take that into consideration. Didn't look at them to see if they locked. Staff friendly. Location excellent. For the $140 I paid for the night I have paid in NY and seen blood soaked floors so I think people need to tether their expectations that a 3* hotel is not a 5* hotel just because it is in the city. Locations make up star ratings. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or stay again.
