The time during the pandemic should be used to upgrade the condition of the rooms. Furthermore, the supervisors should be instructed to train the stall probably and not sitting in the smoking area waiting that the working time is over for them. The service team during breakfast is very friendly and trying the best they can to fulfill the customers expectation - this excludes the Manager for this team who was never seen during our last four stays which was close to 4 weeks.

We got surprise cake in our room, really didn't expect it at all. The hotel area vibes quite busy but still manageable. The health protocol and hygiene is well maintained. The location also perfect in the heart of Semarang. The food option during breakfast time getting better compared to months before, still in pandemic times. Rooms quite old but clean. I just have good recognition for this hotel and definitely will come back soon, hopefully in a better time.

Stayed in Novotel Semarang for transit, and chosed this hotel because I am accorplus member, however seems like the staff does not recognised accorplus member here. I didnt receive any member benefit throughout my stays here. Hotel is wellmaintained, and housekeeping quickly response to our needs. Breakfast is very standard and doesnt represent 4* hotel.

as gold accor member, i book several days before arrival, and when i got to hotel at 14.30, not all the room is ready. only 1 room is ready. i know hotel maybe in full condition, but you’re talking about loyalty membership, i believe it should be fast check in. around 15.30 room is ready all. the weird think on next day, at 11 am, a hotel call me if i want to extend? it is better if hotel ask if i want to late checkout or not, not extend.. you see, hotel already late to let me check in, and asking for extend? the hotel facility overal is good, the 50% discoumt for bread/cake is good. but the taste is not that great. the hotel room is good, not in best condition because i think it is already old building. overal, the only good thing about hotel is near mall and near traditional market. and the staff is realy nice, they always salute if they see guest.

This Hotel is nice for building,still modern and well maintained. But really need to upgrade with their room. Its look old and furniture is not being take care well If they upgrade the furniture in bed room, will look nice for all Also air con is not really cold

Stay here overnight in transit with family, hotel seem old, need renovation to keep up with new hotels, service is good, gym is good with lots of machine, pool also ok, minor problem only at the bakery, they only give discount from 18.00 - 22.00. We arrived at 22.06 and no more discount for the cakes.

This was not my first stay here as i visited Semarang really often about 2 years ago where i always stayed at Novotel as AccorPlus member. It is quite an old building but well maintained. It could do a refreshment to keep its 4* standard but in general still acceptable. Health protocol in the breakfast restaurant is good.

In this Java - bali holiday trip, I stayed in six different accors hotel + 2 non accor hotel. I am please to say that Novotel Semarang is apply highest safety standard for covid procedure. Compare to my 2019 visit, I look some improvement in the hotel interior. Breakfast, room and services are remain good. Javanese traditional jamu is my favorite one.

Good location but not represent Novotel brand

Stayed as Accorplus member. I found the hotel not represent as Novotel or 4 star hotel. Limited car park, there's NO business center..as business traveler can't print docs. Only 1 shower soap was provided per day, they make quest to take shower once a day. If need more shower soap, they expect guest to call for request. Anyway hotel's location is good, it's located in the central of city.

1. Lobby was spacious and bright 2. I still figure out why the hotel provide smoking area in Citrus Restaurant near Lobby 3. Furniture in the room were little bit old, but still in use. Sofa in my room 602 was extremely bad, it must be changed with new one. 4. Some staff in the restaurant should be more friendly to the guests. 5. I love the laundry service for executive room, it was really helpful. Thanks for the staff who called me when i forgot to put my laundry in my room 6. Citrus Restaurant was great, delicious food, friendly and helpful staff, and cozy.

Swimming pool should not have smoking area. In room towel are too long time never change as colour turning dirty. Bar staff never promote to guest there is an happy hour as well as what kind of drink list.

Room not ready until 6.10pm !!!

arrived here late Saturday from East Java, booked 2 rooms, and told that one of the room still on the preparation process. It was 5.30pm ! The staff told us that the room will be ready soon in minutes. So we went and waited on other room. At 5.45, I checked the condition of the room which said to be ready in minutes, and found out that nobody actually cleaned and prepared the room. It's opened and we could see that the staff at the reception lying about the room already in preparation. So I had to call again the reception and complaint about the condition, and few minutes later, they arrived and start to clean the room for us. What a terrible service from Novotel. As Accor member, the welcome letter from Mr. Dodit in our room meant nothing, he promised a VIP treatment ???? Sorry Sir, even you weren't there when we said that we want to complaint to you directly. On Sunday, there was a wedding party, and suddenly the parking lot was fully occupied by wedding guest and hotel guests confused where to park the car. Please consider again if you want to stay at this hotel.

I've stayed here many times. Always a pleasant and helpful staff. Beds always give a great sleep and have a variety of pillows to suit different people. This is rare nowadays. Location is prime and free from disturbing noises day or night. Wish I was wealthier to stay there more often. Thank you for continued excellence!

Everything was wonderful except for the constant humming noise. I stayed at the 8th floor. The staff was helpful, they even helped me find my daughter's candy the she lost (and cried for) at the lounge.

Very good nice location, hotel gave us free minibar, they fill up every day. Short parking slot but staff always offered valet parking for free. Something that was not a good thing was slippery bath up. My wife slipped when taking a bath. Then I asked hotel staff to send carpet to avoid slippery, they responded very fast.

i always like to stay at this novotel even start bit old furnitur at the room ... .. what it dont understant why it s still smokimg area at restaurant ,lobby and breakfast ....breakfast became really poor quality ...
