I have previously used this hotel, although that was 8 years ago so thought I would write a more up to date review This hotel is in a great location being only 5 minutes from the main railway station and a 20 minute stroll to the Altstadt. I had a double room which was located on the front of the hotel. The room was nice and big with probably a king size bed which was very comfortable, The bathroom had a bath with a shower over it which was suitable for what it is meant to do. The room was clean and was cleaned everyday by the staff. The rest of the hotel that we used was also very clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We used the bar (attached to the hotel) every night of our visit and that was also clean and tidy and the lady who worked their was, again, very friendly and chatty. We chose not to have the breakfast (choosing to find local places) so cannot comment on the food. It was also helpful that the English spoken by the staff was very good. I was the only German speaker in my group so it was reassuring that others could also approach staff without feeling nervous about any language barrier, or requiring me to be with them I have only two things to be wary of and are more of advice for guests, than problems. The first one was that being on the front when the trams were running late at night and early in the morning they could possibly either keep you awake or wake you up if you are a light sleeper. The second point is in regards to the safe in the room. If I recall some rooms may have a electronic safe, but mine needed a key which I could get from the reception but needed a €50 cash deposit, which is returned when you hand the key back or imprint to a credit card, the hotel could maybe invest in replacing the safes..

Excellent location near the train station and a 20 minute walk to the old town. The hotel itself is a little on the old side but was clean inside with friendly staff. Plenty of hot water for the shower in the bathroom and room cleaned daily with change of towels. Only thing that lost it a point was the heating inside the room.When we first went in it was like a furnace. Even turning down the very old and noisy air conditioning didn't really help. It wasn't a massive problem for us as we were at the rear of the hotel so could open the window for extra ventilation. All in all however a satisfactory stay and would definitely use this hotel again.

Room is decent size and the property is need of refurbishment as the heating system does not work efficiently. Highlight is the big continental breakfast with live omelette and lot of fruits & breads. Location is good as it is near to the train station and room is noise proof.

Solid three night stay here in August, extremely great location if you're planning on using the Hauptbahnhof, which we were. The room we got was really spacious and comfortable, good air con too which was excellent because it was HOT. Some cracking bars and restaurants close by as well. Check in and out effortless and smooth. Really nice older bar inside the hotel too.

Good Hotel, great location, good Cost/benefit ratio. Only few issues with the heater

Good stay overall, the hotel has an excellent locations, facilities are clean, the breakfast is quite complete, and the attention is fine. Only issue is that heater was working on and off during my stay (October end) which is cold already. Everything else was fine.
