terrible receptionist

I had a very disappointing experience at Ibis Innsbruck. There is an elderly lady at the front desk who was rude, unprofessional, and completely unhelpful. When I asked for my room invoice, she made an error with the gender information. I requested her to correct it, but she refused, blamed me for the mistake, and showed no willingness to apologize. Her attitude was arrogant and dismissive. Things got even more frustrating when she suddenly switched to speaking German, making it difficult for me to understand. Fortunately, another receptionist named Kevin stepped in, contacted the manager, and finally resolved the issue after 3 hours. I appreciate Kevin's professionalism, but the situation left a very bad impression. Even after fixing the mistake, the elderly lady continued to be confrontational, insisting loudly that I must return the incorrect invoice right now, accusing me of potentially trying to get double reimbursement. This nasty assumption was humiliating and offensive. I have never experienced such unprofessional behavior at a front desk before. I truly think that the management team, especially Marc Rene Caesar, should reconsider whether she is qualified for this role. It honestly makes me wonder if she was ever properly trained as a receptionist. This experience was far below the standards I expect from Accor Hotels. Her unprofessional, rude and arrogant behavior has truly left a stain on the beauty of Innsbruck.

Functional hotel directly next to busy main train station. Bus from the airport also stops just opposite. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice and a relaxed atmosphere. Bar available next to reception. No complaints or issues. Only area of feedback would be to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room. There was a communal kettle near reception but only tea was available Good location and just a few minutes walk to the charming old town.

Ideally situated for making the most out of a trip to Innsbruck and the surrounding area. The hotel is directly about the train station entrance and the public bus from the airport also stops directly outside. There are plenty of convenience stores and places to eat in the vicinity and the centre of the city is just a 5-10 minute walk away. The reception staff were professional and welcoming on our arrival and we were delighted to receive an early check in, which meant we could freshen up before going out to explore. Our room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Shower was hot and powerful and the beds were comfortable - we slept perfectly on both nights. All in all an excellent, well-priced base for our time in this lovely city!

A mixed bag of a hotel, needs to upgrade a few things.

The main highlight of this hotel is its location as you can enter the hotel directly from the Train station. The room was neat and well appointed like a typical Ibis hotel, however the checkin experience was not the greatest, as the person checking us in was unfriendly and a tad rude. For an international hotel chain like Ibis, it was sad that there was no kettle in the room for hot water, and the facility for a hot beverage in the reception was totally inadequate as there was not even water kept there, leave alone tea and coffee supplies. Especially in the biting cold climate, it was impractical to go down the elevator just for a glass of warm water. They had a counter next to the reception selling tea. Coffee and other beverages and it felt as if the non-availability of kettle etc. was to promote the sales of this beverage outlet. The breakfast was average.

super convenient stay. hotel provided what's necessary for a quick visit to the city. fuss free. the room was clean and comfortable. although the room did not provide a kettle, one was available at the lobby for hot water. it was not noisy or anything even though it was situated above the HBF station. the staff were also super friendly and considerate. they kindly allowed me to check in early. overall, a good stay! definitely not terrible, like many other reviews.
