Old .. understaffed.. crowded pool and recreation area due to cheap easy access to the public .. not suitable gor relaxation on top of a mountain and overcrowded poorly facilitated for younger people But can be a nice one day gap getting out of the hot summer days as weather is better in the highlands

I have visited the hotel many times, and the staff has always been friendly and my previous experiences with the hotel have been wonderful. But the pool experience this time was different than before and was very bad: children over six years old in the pool in transparent underwear, many girls over ten years old swimming in pajamas, and adults (men and women) in the pool wearing outdoor clothes (not Any swimwear or sportswear). besides some sorts of bad behaviors! The worst thing about all of this is the staff is in complete silence and allowing such approaches. I hope that the hotel management will restore the rules and policies that were applied before and are supposed to be applied in a such unique hotel, with a famous and high-ranked name.

Needs a refurb

Positives about this hotel - location amazing. Negatives - hotel really needs a complete refurb. Room carpet was badly stained, curtains hanging off the rail, trim broken away from chair, other chair dirty and badly stained too, broken tiles in bathroom. Pool was packed. Not possible to get anything from pool bar unless you got wet as no-one would come to the back service point (even though they weren’t serving at the front). Totally underwhelmed with the hotel which had gone downhill since our previous visit. No-one manning atrium cafe so helped ourselves to ice creams but then couldn’t find anyone to pay, apart from going to reception. Very glad we only booked for one night.
