The hotel has been recommended by friends who stayed here before. It’s a beautiful location with lovely facilities. The majority of staff ban been very professional, helpful and extremely friendly and welcoming while a few others have been rather harsh and unfriendly. It would have been nice to know in advance that the slides were not working, the kids were looking forward to it. The breakfast buffet was a bit understaffed but the available staff had been very friendly, patient and caring. Without the corona restrictions I think it would be better but we definitely enjoyed our stay.

Great location, room was old and tired and not worth the money

The restaurant food was poor, the breakfast overrun with very poor service. The rooms were old and tired with stained shower curtains and bath enamel. The price was the same as any five star hotel in Abu Dhabi or Dubai. The attraction is the location which makes this hotel popular, however the location and possibly the very good pool area is what the customer is paying for. The rest is overpriced for the quality and service available.

I'm afraid I we are not satisfied with our stay My wife and I, together with a another couple our friend, checked in on Friday 16/10, well past the 3pm check-in time and the problems started straight away. Our friends were given a smoking room they didn't want nor requested. It smelled so bad, they had to change be moved. My wife and I had booked a double but they gave us a twin. The receptionist tried to change it but with no luck due to the hotel being fully booked. They offered to join the beds but all they could do was to push the 2 single beds together. With nothing holding them, rolling towards the middle meant pushing the beds apart and risking falling off. As you can imagine, this was less than ideal The room has clearly not been refurbished for a long time and shows its age. Everything looks past its prime, cabinets don't close properly, furniture are stained and battered. A bit of a sad look. Things only got worse when it came to dealing with the f&b. We had our first dinner on the terrace by the pool which was lovely and had a great view. The service was not as good, unfortunately. We had to ask multiple times to be seated and again to have someone take our order. On the other hand, the food arrived quickly and was quite nice. Again, long wait for the bill. The morning after, we went for breakfast which is served between 7:30 and 10:30. the four of us decided to go for 9:30 but, to our surprise we were asked to wait because the restaurant was full. The restaurant is quite small and probably running at a reduced capacity due to covid and the hotel was full the previous night. That's understandable but showing up and just being told to wait is not the best way to handle the situation in my opinion. We would have appreciated some sort of booking system, or maybe an allocated time slot. Even just a heads up from the reception to know what to expect. Anyway we had to sit in the lobby with a number of other guests sharing our fate. After about half an hour we were let in and sort of abandoned at our table. Nobody came to take our drinks order or to explain the buffet. We asked a number of waiters to order drinks and finally managed to. All this meant we were quickly approaching the end of service so the already limited choice was further reduced. The cooked breakfast was OK but the bread and pastries were stale though. It must be said, the hotel benefits from a very fortunate location, the pool area is nice and of good size, it offers a beautiful view of the surroundings. Again, the outdoor area could use a refurbishment but it provides a very pleasant place to spend the day. Unfortunately the hotel had one last surprise put aside for us. On our last dinner, we decided to try the Belvedere. We walked into the restaurant to an almost empty room. Just a few tables were occupied and the empty ones were not even set up. Not a single waiter in sight. We waited there for a while for someone to show up but then decided to go to the front desk and ask if the restaurant was maybe closing down although it was just past 7:30pm. We were told that the restaurant was in fact open and, a after a quick phone call, a member of the waiting team appeared. We finally ordered and after a longish wait, we received our food. My wife's salad and main course were OK. My chicken biryani most definitely not. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect this dish to be freshly prepared in the restaurant of a four star hotel, instead I was presented with something that looked like a ready made meal, straight out of the freezer, just heated up in the microwave and not even properly. The chicken pieces were still half frozen and watery. I informed the unfazed waitress who took it back to fix it, I guess. In the meanwhile my wife had finished her main. We kept on waiting but after a while we got fed up and left. All things considered, I am honestly surprised that a Mercure can be run so poorly. The staff is generally kind and friendly but many members of the team looked like on their first day in a job they had never done before and that nobody had explained to them. Even more so in the f&b department. I'm inclined to think that the staff didn't receive proper training and guidance from the management. I feel this is a shame because the hotel could be a wonderful place to stay, given its unique location and view.

We had visited the place during Oct 2020 . It was worth trying out living in a hotel by following all COVID regulatory restrictions. The room we have got was very nice and pool view room which added a beauty after sunset too. This is our daughter's first Hotel Stay and she enjoyed too.

It’s a great hotel for sure, and this is not the first time we’ve stayed in it, but unfortunately comparing to the last visit, this time wasn’t as good. The pillows have changed and not comfortable at ALL! We were six friends and all of us did not have a good sleep in both nights. And the AC wasn’t cold, it was pre-set to 21 C and u can’t adjust it, some people like it cold.

Booked this hotel for my birthday. The location was perfect with nice view. The room was spacious. The breakfast was not satisfying, very limited options and there is very slow service. We ordered dinner meals from our room and the food was great. White towels needs to be changed already as they look old and dark.

My second visit in just a few weeks. Unfortunately this time the service wasn’t so great. We waiting a long time for service for dinner and breakfast was a shambles. All that said some tweaks and they will rock it.

I didn't feel any difference using my Accor membership during our overnight stay. Anyway, we enjoyed the night view in Eden Rock. After dinner we went to toilet and my son was dancing on the stage by the pool when the security told us it's already close and we need to go out of the swimming pool area. He even asked us if we brought food from outside. The night security doesn't know the take away bag of Eden rock. Also, I don't know maybe its prohibited to bring food from outside which we didn't do, it was froM EDEN ROCK. Moreover, please remind your security to properly wear a mask. He was talking to us with his facemask on his chin.

The hotel was very good, the view was so nice but the service was not. During reservation, I informed them the total number of guests in the room including the child. The reservation and I agreed on the total price for the whole package including the free breakfast and extra bed. A confirmation email was sent to me. I arrived at around 10;30 pm. The reception charged me more during the check in, when I showed him the email he changed the rate back to the agreed rate.There was still no extra bed. I had to call the reception 3x as it was so late and we wanted to sleep. The extra bed came at around 11:30 pm or more. When we had breakfast which was suppose to be a part of the package, the waitress was asking me to sign saying that it was not part of the package and I had to pay an additional 200 aed for it. I tried to explain but she said she does not know and she is just doing her job. When I went to the reception to clarify, the indian man on duty said that it was not included as my rate was low and I was given an extra bed which costs 150 aed additional. I tried to show him the confirmation email but he did not bother to read it. He said I should clear it first with the reservation agent who is not yet on duty. It was very disappointing as the communication and hand over between staffs were so poor. It was like the left hand was completely unaware of the right hands duties.

Rooms are pretty small, balcony for such location suppose to be bigger, i experienced two problems inside the room: air ventelation and water pressure in the bathroom, other than that public areas in the hotel are clean , neat and quiet.
