No smile of welcome from the receptionist. We had to wait for at least 15 minutes for a room allocation which was a surprise as the car park had very few cars. The receptionist said the rooms have to be sanitised as if that’s a good reason for delaying our check in. The pool area was bright and welcoming and the grounds are looking well kept. Sad to see the pool so quiet; it’s always been busy on previous visits. Very disappointed that Al Khyma is closed. We were very much looking forward to eating there. The following morning I asked for a late check out and was given until 1pm because the hotel was very busy. That didn’t ring true - I have never seen it so empty. Such a shame as the hotel is beginning to look like it’s being taken care of but it’s clear that it’s dreadfully understaffed and the staff that are there don’t look happy. I have a feeling that there’s a block booking of rooms maybe for workers elsewhere but certainly not hotel guests. I hope the hotel is given investment and improves as it has great potential and is in a great situation.

My experience is overall very good. The only problem I face from the beginning is a lack of cold water during a shower. The water is very hot and it is very unpleasant while taking shower. (It is the same in all rooms I stayed in so far. I reported it to reception but it was not changed.

A group of us had arranged to stay at the hotel and we'd had a long drive, so we were pleasantly surprised with the warm welcome that we received checking in and the upgraded rooms we were allocated. Mercure Jebel Hafeet is one of our favourite destination and went there to have a break this time. Check in was very smooth , particularly Manish took extra care to provide the room with best view. Room was OK, but breakfast experience was really horrible. There was no buffet and food quality was very bad. Most of the food served looked stale. Our day was again saved by Manish who provided late checkout. Pool and slides at the pool were enjoyble. Overall nice experience except for the horrible breakfast.

Suite was clean Eden rock bar food was great, greeted by the chef himself and the super friendly staff Breakfast was not available in the restaurant so room service was ordered instead. I'm writing this review to express my sincere regrets in this unfortunate booking with your hotel (res# KNGDFVXL). I have booked this stay for enjoying the veiw and pool in this particular location through accor application after calling the hotel at 5:21 pm today Fri, July 2021. After driving more than 1:45 hours from Abu Dhabi City and arrival at your hotel at 9:20 pm I came to know that the pool was closed at 5 pm if not before untill further notice. I have all due respects to local regulations, however, I should have been informed ahead of time by the hotel team about the situation and given the option to keep or cancel my booking not at the time of arrival. Further, I have requested to talk the Manager in charge, however he refused to come and told the receptionist to offer me a refund. What would I do with a refund after reaching Alain at this time? What happened doesn't reflect this hotel chain/group being part of Accor hotels and totally not expected and acceptable. Unfortunately I really wasted my vacation, time, effort, and money.

Beautifully located with amazing view, but I can't classify them as a member of Accor group. In several instances they refused to granting discount on FB or settlement of bills using Accor points. I.E. some of staff responses were you can't spend more then 33000 points per stay, no welcome voucher was provided, and no gift was shared as per program although I'm a limitless member. Surprisingly there was no towels available In the room on our arrival.

Disappointing

Check in was the worst experience by far it made we want to go back home and cancel our stay but since we traveled up the mountain to get there and my daughter was so excited I decided to stay. The room I requested was not even noted and only to be told that it is easy to fix but why not do it right the first time so there is no need to complain. More complaints followed but the highlight of which is the fridge in the room isn’t working and with molds . They sent a replacement but I’m not sure if they are deliberately mocking because the replacement has more molds . I stopped complaining and just put up with everything from there. I have told friends and family about my experience so they can lower their standards when they need to stay there as there is no other hotel up on Jabel Hafeet. Maybe this is the reason service and everything else is so disappointing.

The hotel seems antiquated. Staff is very polite but a simple sandwich room service order takes 45-50 minutes and a room service dinner order one hour. I was in room 206 and the bath drainage needs opening up. Pillows are not soft. I won't come back.
