Nice Staycation for Wedding Anniversary

A nice stay for the wedding anniversary, my room is upgraded which is able to have the harbor view with a bottle of wine for celebration. Room is clean and tidy, staff is nice as well, which I strongly recommend for staycation or a short leisure / business trip. Although high quality Full HD LCD TV is available in room, the resolution of TV signal is still very low, which is a bit odd to see VCD or DVD quality TV signal in a Full HD TV nowadays. It will be good if they can provide an option for customer to watch online channel from Youtube or duplicate the mobile / tablet screen via Chromecast or other way. Of course, it is a minor item for enhancement... There is semi-buffet breakfast arrangement due to COVID-19, it is good but the choices of food are less comparing with the normal buffet breakfast...Suggest consider adding noodle, dim sum, etc. Overall, it is a nice stay which I strongly recommended~

Stayed for Covid quarantine. Found the room to be quiet good size clean & tidy. Had meals provided and found all meals exceptional. Would definitely stay again for any occasion. All staff were helpful & friendly.

I stayed with my wife to celebrate anniversary. Thanks Crystal for the celebration decoration. It is just awesome! My wife likes it very much! Crystal knows exactly what my wife wants! The hotel is clean. and the price is very affordable. Good value for money! Perfect stay for anniversary!

The Japanese styled supper was below standard; beef couldn't be torn off and even cooked food didn't keep warm enough. No coffee was served with the breakfast and also the free mini-bar. 2 bottles of mineral water were not sufficient for daily consumption.

Very friendly staff, really appreciated service level I got during the stay. I felt safe about my health even we have pandemic on. Maybe some renovation of floor carpets needed. Looking forward stay in this hotel again.

I made this reservation for celebration my husband's birthday under staycation with dinner package. The front office and housekeeping staff are nice. And thank you for the decorations, we appreciated it. However, for the food, really quite disappointed, I never try the food taste bad like this, and the cooked food are cold and sashimi are warmed... And also, we called somebody to fix the remote and I was on the bed, he looked at me and look like having bad mind. It makes me really feeling bad...

Service is always excellent, rooms needs some renovation, furniture are a bit outdated, the floors of the hotel are also in a need of renovation. Breakfast in the lounge was always good, unfortunately it isnt available anymore. Breakfast in the second floor is 3 points. Not enough cheese and sausage platters to select. 2 kinds of each only. The Lounge happy hour has been better from the food selection in the past. Not that good anymore. Service stuff is always very kind and helpfull. During the past stays the cleanes wasnt good. Always find hairs in the bath room.

Conveniently situated, this hotel is clean with great variety for breakfast and dining. Friendly staff and the best value in WanChai district for sure. Easy access to the MTR and plenty of cabs about. Definitely recommend you take the breakfast package. WIFI is good too.

I was disappointed that my reserved room was not ready when I arrived. I did the early check in to avoid this, but it doesn’t help. Room are quite clean, but furniture and bathroom start to looks old/damaged. Sleep quality is average, pillow are not confortable at all.

Perfect location in Wan Chai, customer service, cleanliness and on site restaurants all excellent. Only downside is that my room was somewhat dated and is ready for a refurb. Having said that, I will happily stay at the Novotel Century again.

Good hotel in a quieter part of Wan Chai

We enjoyed two nights here, and stayed in a junior suite. The room was well appointed, the bathroom was great. The room did unfortunately have a bad smell about it, a bit "drainy". It really hit when coming back to the room. The sofa bed isn't big enough for two, so we had an extra mattress delivered. Left the floor space very limited. Nespresso machine was a nice addition. Breakfast was plentiful, although the restaurant was cold with too much air conditioning. The evening buffet was good, but very expensive - as was the bar outside of happy hour

This is a great hotel. It is well managed and the staff are excellent. It is in a great position at a very competitive rate. From on line booking through check in everything was made easy. The staff are excellent particularly in the Exec Lounge and Sanki is a star.

A relaxed break

Stopped off in HK again after flying from Europe on our way back to Australia and again chose to stay in the Novotel Wan Chai as we have done at least 6 times previously. Our Junior Suite on the 22nd floor was comfortable and spacious and afforded a splendid view of the busy harbour. Our stay was improved by the concierge we encountered on the executive floor Jason Chan who provided very essential advice on how to navigate HK in the current unsettled situation that exists there. Following his advice over the 4 days we stayed we experienced no problems and had an interesting and pleasant stay.

Small room, good location

Well located, but so anonymous that we passed by the main entrance without noticing it. Otherwise nothing much to complain about. rooms are smaller than I expected, but I gues it has to do with Hong Kong. During happy hour hotel bar is absolutely worth a visit and on a hot day pool is a big plus. Comfortable bed and stay. will consider this property for future visits of Hong Kong.

Our stay was GREAT! Check In staff was very pleasant named Vivian..and gave us an early check in which we badly needed coz we arvd so early at 8:30 and check in was suppose to be at 2pm.. best was she upgraded our room to the executive floor and gave us access to the executive lounge. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices. Room was very clean with comfy bed and pillows and complete amenities. Lobby and hallways smelled so good! Love the hotel location with easy access to everything!!

Amazing Stay, Great Location, EXCEPTIONAL Staff

From the second we walked through the door the staff were on point and during a 5 day stay we could not find fault with anyone. Being Accor Gold Status we pulled our normal trick of booking the room grade below the Premier Lounge Suite and on arrival were duly upgraded to a HUGE one bedroom suite on a high floor and away from the lifts all in accordance with our guest profile. Check-in was handled efficiently and the staff went out their way to point out information and to ask if we had any queries. Room: The one bedroom suite was expansive with a very decent size living room with two couches, fridge, nespresso machine and bottled water which were all topped up daily. The bedroom was a good size with a queen size bed and high quality linens. The bathroom was a decent size and accessed via a huge walk in wardrobe area. I found the bath a little narrow but I put that down to the, historically typical, difference in size between westerners and those from Asia. It wasn't a deal breaker but it was noticeable but with a powerful shower it mattered little. Bars & Food: Due to the ongoing troubles in the country we found ourselves eating at the restaurant twice which isn't something we normally do. It was VERY worthwhile. Both breakfast and dinner were expansive with a broad range of western and local cuisine all presented very well and with various made-to-order stations for both breakfast and in the evening. The main bar on the mezzanine level between the reception and restaurant was well staffed, relaxed and reasonably well styled. Cocktails were well made and had good measures in them. Executive Lounge: It's a small lounge & i'd advise getting their early but the food was kept topped up and it DID change daily. Not by a massive amount but eg it would be X flavour of something one day and Y flavour the next kind of thing. The self pour bar was kept well stocked with us not having to ask for anything because it had run out. STAFF: Nathan( hotel manager I hope you are reading this) DEREK the older gentlemen who works as a porter bell hop is an absolute pleasure to encounter. Although you have a very capable concierge team if Derek saw us he was immediately over to us asking how we were and if there was anything he could assist with. He was a wealth of local knowledge and I dont think I ever saw him without a smile on his face. HE IS THE EPITOME OF WHAT HOTEL STAFF SHOULD STRIVE TO BE AND IS AN AMAZING ASSET TO YOUR HOTEL.

Amazing location, incredible breakfast

We love this hotel, wonderful breakfast and amazing location. Rooms are standard size,don't expect a lot of space but enough. Pool is great and restaurant as well. Also the shuttle from the airport express stop at the door free of charge. The only bad thing this time (I have stayed at least 4 timer in this hotel) was the concierge, middle age man (maybe 40 or 50) not nice, was disgusted to provide a map and really basic information on hotel location and other points of interest. This man should not be in front of the public, the rest of the staff from concierge, the young ones where very nice. Currently price is cheap maybe due to HK situation in normal condition is not cheap, but as everything in HK!. Definitely will recommend and will stay again

Disappointed on first visit

this is the first time I stay at Novotel Hong Kong Wanchai. I had high hopes and expectation being a 4-star as the brand name is supposed to be quite good. The size of room is good, however, the most disappointment is the bathroom. There is not enough amenities. The hand basin and space is small. There is not enough space for my cosmetic bag. The shower space is small and oh my god, still using a shower curtain?? The design of the bathroom door is awkward and inconvenient. The bathroom standard is worst than Holiday Inn Express which is only a 3 star.
