It was clean and semi good location. That’s about the only good things but they’re very important. The hvac is wild. Some rooms are super hot! And some rooms have a bathtub and others don’t. Depending who your housekeeper is will depend on if you get bottled water daily. I didn’t but my friend on another floor did.

I stayed there recently, and after 2 days I received an extra charge for cleaning fees stating that there was urine in the bed. Ironically, I hadn't even slept in the bed as it was disgusting, and I ended up staying at a friend's house nearby after the hotel claimed there was a mattress topper... There wasn't, and even if there was, that doesn't mean it's suitable for sleeping on. Air conditioning was nonexistent. After asking them to turn it on, they stated it was switched off for all residents. I couldn't open the windows until I'd gone through a whole process of signing forms stating the hotel wasn't liable for anything that went missing. I assume they're struggling with money and cutting corners where ever possible, as well as trying to scam tourists with additional fees. I wish I'd seen some of the more recent reviews before booking this place. It looks like once upon a time this was a good place to stay.

We stayed at Novotel for 3 nights in October with an unbelievable horrible service.Though it claims to be a 4 star plus hotel,the service is worse than a boutique hotel. They had stopped the air-conditioning of the hotel because of which all the rooms were very stuffy and suffocating. Almost 80-90%of the guests had this complaint but the hotel did nothing about starting the air conditioning. Their solution was to open the window after signing a document that the hotel will not be liable for any theft if the windows are kept open. If you open the window the ventilation problem is solved but then the noise from the outside street will not let you live in peace. We made multiple requests to change the room but the hotel staff told us that they were completely booked. At 12am midnight when we realised that its better to sleep in the lobby than in the room, it was at that point that we were shifted to an inside room, problem of ventilation still persisting. But how did they manage a room now??🤔 Somehow we compromised to stay there as i had an exam in the same hotel. The in room services of slippers, vanity kits etc were all missing. The size of the hotel bed is too small to allow two adults to sleep without hitting each other. While i was leaving the hotel, it made me think wether we should actually opt for a property that self proclaims itself as 4+ star or there should be global guidelines for it.

What a horrible place! The Central healing was on while it was outside 18 degrees and no one could put it out. A Lot of noise at night from inside the hotel. The rooms are terribly outdated and consequently not worth the price. And the staff is eveything is anything but friendly

Had a great stay here in a family room for the 3 of us. When entering the reception area you'll think you are in a far grander hotel than the price suggests. It's a very impressive building. Our room was certainly spacious, a huge bed and an equally huge sofa bed. It had all the usual things, large TV, fridge, kettle, a few bottles of water and, importantly, a good working Aircon. The rooms were very quiet too, hardly heard any other guests despite staying over the weekend. The bathroom was fine, a bath and shower. The only issue being the extraction fan didn't appear to be working but it's not enough of an issue for me that I felt the need to report it. The buffet breakfast was very good indeed, a wide variety of hot and cold food, hams, cheeses, pastries etc. Great location too, very close to various different forms of transport on the very impressive Budapest transport network. Would definitely stay here again.
