Booked via hotel’s own website and email confirmed the following ‘designer room with double bed, large comforter, bright XL shower, separate toilet, flat screen TV and multimedia connections. Our room however was miserable, the bathroom had a grimy shower curtain, no separate toilet. There were no multimedia connections, not even a standard USB port. There wasn’t a large comforter, whatever that is, but we did have a plastic chair, does that count? Absolutely nothing about this room said ‘designer’, kids have better than this at university. We arrived late from the train and just couldn’t be bothered to go back downstairs to complain as we had an early start next day. The breakfast was not too bad to be fair. There must surely be better in Besancon.

Comfortable functional hotel. Welcoming staff. Convenient location opposite the station and tram stop though a bit of way from town. Welcoming staff. Good breakfast but more fruit would be an improvement..

The reason why we booked this hotel was because of our good experience with Ibis budget in Crèches sur saone. But what a difference! Noisy area outside, running people in the middle of the night in the hotel, poor room, terrible matrasses, bad service the 2nd day. At arrival service was ok, but even when we left there was no Bon Voyage or Au Revoir. Well, there wil not be a Revoir for us....

The carpets aren't sticky

The best I can say is the carpets aren't as sticky as they look. I'm surprised they let it stay under the Ibis name. The outside looks like a derelict building and the inside reminds you of a ....cell maybe. Bed, table, chair, full stop. Bathroom has seen better days. And it's not even that cheap
