Our experience was much better than expected! I read quite a few bad reviews, but I booked this hotel anyway as I’m an Accor member (plus I sense some reviewers may expect 5 Star quality from budget facilities!). We found the bed very comfortable, the room & bathroom was clean, the staff were all lovely - the buffet breakfast was a nice addition, the fresh fruit & pancake machine was a highlight with the kids.

Shoe box in size, shower worked well, bed was reasonable, nice pub next door for a nice meal. Fairly quiet hotel enough for an overnight stay while travelling .

The rooms were in line with the price. However we had issues on approval and was lucky someone was still there to help as it was late. The door wouldn't open and had to be relocated to another room. However we then had someone enter the room at approx 6am that morning. The staff did apologize and I appreciate it was a simple error, but it could have been a pretty bad outcome so I hope processes improve so it doesn't happen in future.

Friendly reception staff, room clean and tidy, however, rooms door handle was broken and air con stopped working (blowing cold air) during the night
