The Comfort double, although tight for 2 people, lived up to its description plus provided unobstructed daylight and a view of the river Housecleaning was meticulous. The location was central: easy to arrive at the castle, the university, and the beach. A large grocery store is just behind the hotel so finding necessities was ultra-convenient. Breakfast offered a variety of quality choices on a pleasant atmosphere Most of all, the staff was cordial, always very helpful, and professional. We wouldn't hesitate to return when in Boulogne-sur-mer

We have stayed in a lot of IBIS budget hotels and although they are basic we’ve always found them ok for 1 or 2 night stopovers. This is by far the worst IBIS budget we have stayed in. The room stank - people had clearly been smoking in the room and the bathroom was mouldy and damp. This made spending any time in the room unpleasant. There were cigarette burns in the curtains and the window was broken. The hotel is tired with stains on the carpets. There are signs all over the hotel to say it is forbidden to smoke in rooms - so this is clearly a known issue, but there seems little enforcement of the rules. The worst part however was the attitude of the staff member when we arrived. She was rude and unhelpful. The hotel car park was full and she was not helpful at all in finding another car park - the one that the hotel recommends has a height restriction so we couldn’t use it. Other staff members we spoke to after this were much nicer but unfortunately the reception we received really tainted our whole experience. I wouldn’t recommend using this hotel.

Pleasantly surprised, staff friendly and breakfast for 6 euro better than expected. Plenty of bars / restaurants within 10 minutes walk was great, rooms as expected were basic but for the price what could you expect, I would use again overall a reasonable stay. Parking was available for 5 Euros a night and gave a bit of peace of mind.

I guess it's a very popular location, the same room is more expensive than other Ibis Budget I ever visited. Same standard room, basic & clean, comfortable bed. I saw this hotel offered a bedroom even for 4 person which became interesting in term of value. Breakfast is pretty good according to the price, with fresh croissant & several different kind of food. Paid secured parking is an option. Need refreshing in the room though, a bit worn down / getting old. Overall nice stay.
