We stayed from 24 to 26 October 2025. The drlivery of services was a solutely below par. If i could rate below 1 star, i would have. On our sevond night there, whilst taking a shower, the water in the toilet turned ice cold about 1 minute after I started showering. Nothing i tried could change the water temperature back to warm. I approached the reception about the issue but was told that the hotel was full and there are no technicians around. No attempt was taken to verify the cold water. The reaction from the reception gives me the impression that this is a normal occurance in the hotel. We showered in cold water that night! The maintenance at Novotel Malpensa must be a touch and go style to produce such essential service. I have stayed in Novotel Hotels before but have never encountered such experience. I guess the standards have changed. And so hss my opinion of Novotel Hotels. Caveat emptor!

Yari and Luca were superb

We were a family of 7 who missed our flight and were left in Milan for 1 night. We booked Novotel last minute and were greeted by Yari and Luca who made our stay extremely satisfactory. Their service was superb, there was a slight issue with one room and they resolved it straight away. We had to spend the whole day at the Novotel and they helped us order food, watch Premier League football and use facilities like table tennis and the play area. We are so grateful for them helping us with their fantastic service.

It's so far from the airport it defeats the purpose of an Airport Hotel

The Novotel Milano Malpensa Airport turned out to be a poor choice. Being classified as an airport hotel we took for granted that it would be easy to get to and from the airport. This was false. The hotel is about a 10 minute drive from the terminal - along a freeway. Our flight arrived at a time that the hotel's shuttle was not running. We needed to take a taxi and we were charged 35 Euro to get to this hotel. As there are no other options, you are held to ransom by the taxi drivers. Getting back to the airport we used the hotel's shuttle which charges 5 Euro per person. I was surpirsed to be charged for a shuttle to an airport hotel. The shuttle also takes a long time as it stops at the sister ibis hotel across the street. In total, it took over 20 minutes using the shuttle to get back to the airport. Coupled with the fact that the shuttle is infrequent, it is a difficult place to get to. The hotel itself is a the lower end of the Novotel standard. We had a room on the 'Executive Floor' and it was small and basic. I dread to think what the other rooms look like. The breakfast was similarly basic and boring. Nobody expects an airport hotel to put on an elaborate breakfast but it was below expectations. Because of the location of the hotel, there are zero other options in walking distance. Despite all of the problems with the hotel, the staff were friendly. This hotel is best avoided. It's far better to pay more for a hotel closer to the airport.

Shocked – Charging Extra for Eggs at Breakfast!

I’m currently staying at Novotel Malpensa Hotel, and honestly, I’m quite surprised and disappointed by what just happened. Our booking included breakfast, and we paid a top rate for our stay. This morning, when we went down for breakfast and asked for a simple omelette or sunny-side-up eggs, the waitress informed us that they charge €6 extra per egg preparation. I’ve stayed at many hotels around the world, including other Novotel properties, and I’ve never encountered a hotel charging separately for basic eggs as part of a breakfast that’s already included in the package. It feels unreasonable and left a very negative impression, especially considering the price we’re paying. I truly hope the management reconsiders this policy, as it’s completely out of step with what guests expect from a hotel of this level.

Nice hotel near Malpensa, be aware of airport transfer costs

We stayed in the Novotel Milano Malpensa Airport hotel for one night. The hotel itself was nice. Prompt check-in. Our room was small but pleasant and clean. Choice of tub or shower in the room, adequate hot water. Complimentary bottle of mineral water. There was a problem with the TV remote, but it was quickly resolved with a call to the front desk. (A shout out to Boris, who was very helpful and kind.) The room was quiet, we slept well. I had dinner at the hotel restaurant and found it good and reasonably priced for an airport hotel. Breakfast was quite good, nice spread. The fresh fruit was ready to eat, not rock-hard. Nice selection of cereals, breads, etc. (Try the cream-filled croissants.) Hotel staff was friendly and attentive. The only drawback was transportation to and from the airport. Shuttle service is limited, and not free. We arrived in the early evening, had to take a cab from Malpensa (20 euro flat fee). We reserved a noon shuttle back to the airport next day, cost was 25 euros for the two of us and would be 25 euros for just one. We were the only ones in the van. It was on time, driver was nice and dropped us off by departure gate.
