I didn't have the best experience in this hotel. On our first night the window didn't fully close since it was broken. This was fixed after letting the reception know but only the day after. The curtains had holes, the bothtub constantly drained itself so only showering was possible and lot's of other problems. I'm not in the mood to go to the reception every day to complain about this. Promises by the service are not kept. At our check-in we were told we could go to the breakfast whenever we want and pay the bill on check-out. Apparently this was not the case and we needed to pay it every time directly there. This feels like they don't trust their guests. They also had a doorknob hanger for on the room door to order breakfast in the room. We hung it outside but no-one ever came. Don't make promises you can't keep please. After this experience I will never stay in a Novotel anymore and I visited a few already in the past.

Novotel is a fine business hotel, although its age shows. The location is convenient for my employer's office, but not so much for anything else. I had some trouble with the airconditioning - I needed to seriously turn down the temperature to get results, but otherwise the amenities were in order. The staff were super friendly and competent too, and breakfast was fine. The gym is small but quite well equipped, and the on-site restaurant is good.

A quiet place to stay just outside the city center

We were in a group of 30 and this hotel being located outside the city center is not a problem since we had a bus on standby. The room was spacious, with air-conditioning, comfortable bed and a clean bathroom with hot water. The bedroom is somewhat soundproofed as there are rubber seals on the door edges. There is also an anteroom, funny though that the door between it and the bedroom cannot be closed because it hits the corner of the bed. There was no complimentary water in the room but there are bottled water in the mini ref for sale. I was very difficult to open the cap of the bottle. Meals, dinner and breakfast, were very good... the venue, the food and the service...

I have seen many bad reviews about this hotel but I can now actually recommend it if you are looking for something outside the city centre, peaceful, convenient. The service is great: quick support (email or in person), kind and helpful. Rooms have all the essentials, also for families. Beds are quite comfy. If you need a crib just request it and it will be there, a good size cot. Good quality shampoo and shower gel. We used the hotel carpark rather than the free one and it's so much easier as it's underground.

Stayed at Novotel Roma Est whilst visiting Italy. The hotel was very well presented and clean and tidy. With breakfast also being a hit. Staff were very helpful, with a big thanks to Virginia for making us feel very welcome. Will return to this hotel.
