High Points: dog friendly, close access to all points regarding the airport with pharmacy, grocery, and florist Unique Points: pet garden, outdoor area, very quiet for airport hotel; Vicky at the front desk checked us in like humans and pleasantries and humanity and kindness; this is RARE! Low Points: some rooms show some age even on executive level but still a buzzing hospitable and clean place to stay; room card offered 4 bottles of water yet we received only 2; yes we know the tap is drinkable.

We stayed in the Sofitel Athens Airport hotel in June. We booked a Superior Room in June. We had an early flight out of Athens the next day, so the convenience of this hotel appealed to us. You literally walk across one airport road to the terminal. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable, the shower was huge, the rental cars were within walking distance. There was a large staff, and they were quick and respectful of guest’s time. It’s a modern hotel with a nice bar. We didn’t eat at the restaurant or order room service so can’t speak to that. Overall it’s a great value and the location is everything.

This is a very nice hotel and super convenient to the airport. We had a nice roomy room with spacious bathroom (s), the toilet is in a separate room from the sink and shower. I’ve attached several pictures of the hotel, Mesoghaia dining room, and our room. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The shower / tub arrangement was interesting but provided a nice warm shower.

Had a very late arrival from The Netherlands, but the welcome could not have been better. My friend had arrived some hours before me, and she checked into the hotel with no issues at all. Very nice room, very clean, lovely bathroom and great robes with slippers. Very comfortable beds. Breakfast was plentiful, with good choice. All staff encountered were very helpful. Rather expensive, because there is no competition around the airport. But a recommended place to stay.

We don’t usually stay at airport hotels, unless absolutely necessary. However, we would happily return to this one. From check in to check out, this was a fabulous experience. Efficiency, cleanliness and friendliness were equalled only by its value. And, for a special treat, please go up to the roof bar. The drinks, up scale ambiance and accessible restaurant menu cannot be beat. Amazing sunset view, delicious food, helpful staff, and early seating makes this destination more than worthwhile. Additionally, the DJ (yes, there is a DJ) was awesome. We are looking forward to returning on our next trip to Athens. It is a must, and takes airport hotels to a totally different level.
