Mediocre overall but great rooftop

We stayed 4 nights. Rooftop pool, bar & service crew were great. Location is ok. The rest was mediocre and significantly below expectations for a Novotel: Rooms are worn down, room service was sloppy, breakfast service unfriendly. We won’t stay again.

The service from the desk staff was excellent. The ladies providing room cleaning were very friendly and helpful. However, the standout was George (Jorge), who was a superb waiter, warm, friendly, helpful in every way. Thanks so much for his generosity

Close to city centre but not close to acropolis. Rooms are average. Service average, no bellboy to help you. Reception staff are courteous. Breakfasts good but crowded Rooftop restaurant has excellent view of the Acropolis and the city. Pool and Gym are good.

Nice hotel and great staff

Stayed for a night after a cruise. Arrived early and unfortunately the room was not available however we were able to use the facilities which was great. Pool was lovely and bar staff friendly and had a great view of the acropolis. There is a lovely cafe next door (come out and turn right) beautiful food and lovely staff. A special mention to the receptionist Tatiana. She was a delight and asset to the hotel. Warm and friendly check in and gave advise on the area and the hotel. We needed a taxi for our return to the airport but as we had 4 pax with a bit of luggage we were not sure if we could fit in one or 2. Tatiana advised one station wagon to start and if we needed another she would assist. She personally came out on departure to assist with the taxi and to check everything was ok. Please thank her for her amazing work. Would definitely come back when I’m next in Athens.

Average hotel and not great location

The hotel needs refurbishing, carpets definitively need to be changed. The breakfast is good on quantity but not on quality. Location not great except for the archeological museum. On the whole average hotel but at a stiff price for Athens. One positive: the staff at reception is very helpful and nice.
