Good Novotel In An Authentic Neighborhood

I understand people's concerns about the neighborhood. But much of Athens is exactly like this. Athens is not Paris or Munich or Rome or... Unless you're looking to shell out big bucks to stay around Syntagma Square or similar, you'll find yourself in surroundings very similar to this. Athens is not pretty and Athens can be quite gritty. So just know this before you go. I liked the fact that I was in an authentic neighborhood. I'm not saying that you can't do better. Just be realistic. I liked the hotel. The common areas were polished marble and looked impressive. The front desk staff were kind and helpful. The buffet breakfast had too many choices, and everything I had was good, except for the coffee, which was awful. I stayed in late November and the building's central air conditioning was off. My room was much too warm. The windows do open but there were pigeons right outside and I was afraid one would come into the room. I should have asked for a fan. If you like pizza, try Pizza Napoletana, just across the street. It's take-away only. 7 euros 50 for a margarita pizza. Other reviewers have recommended it, and it was very good and authentic pizza. And a note to the hotel: Please fix the card readers in the elevators. They don't work in any of the elevators. Having to insert the room card countless times before you get the green light is totally insane. And I was in the elevator once with two other people; all of us trying our keys to no avail. If you can't fix the readers then please just remove them. I finally walked up the steps to my room at least twice. Good exercise, but totally unnecessary.

Podziękowania dla hotelu za spełnienie mojej prośby i przydzielenie pokoju z widokiem na Akropol. Pobyt uważam za udany. Pokój było ok, śniadania również chociaż moim zdaniem kuchnia powinna lepiej wykorzystywać produkty którymi dysponuje. Powinno być więcej dań ciepłych, pancake powinny być również ciepłe (a tak są strasznie suche). Niedopuszczalne było to, że na jednym ze śniadań podany był zapleśniały smoczy owoc. Plus za świeżo wyciskany sok z pomarańczy. Brak wstawki powitalnej w pokoju dla posiadaczy statusu Gold i wyżej.

The room were clean and very comfortable, with elegant decor. They went over and beyond to help make my stay enjoyable. I loved everything about this hotel, from room types, customers service and facilities except the location is very bad honestly.

The only positive thing I can say about, is staff. Really friendly and helpful. Othetwise, rooms are pretty old, strange smell in corridors. There were no toothbrushes in room, neither were slippers. Breakfast was nice and delicious. And worst thing is location , very dangerous place called Omonia. Full of drag users and criminals. I don’t recommend to go outside after evening by foot, use taxi. No clue why such brand had the idea to built 4star hotel in this area.

Hotel ładny, obsługa bardzo miła i pomocna. Pokoje wymagają remontu i ozonowania. Szczególnie łazienki. Śniadania średnie jak na novotel. Ciągły brak owoców i poszczególnych produktów. Lobby nowe zadbane. Przepiękny widok z dachu hotelu oraz bardzo dobre jedzenie w restauracji.
