This is a spectacularly awful hotel. Having paid €260 for one nights b&b, I am completely comfortable in declaring it the worst value hotel I have stayed at anywhere in the world over 30 years of business travel. From a painfully slow check-in, woeful food in the restaurant, nothing quite prepares me for the sadness on entering the room. Dated, badly fitting together, nothing nice or appealing of any description. The sign in the bathroom says that towels and glasses are free - generous! Predictably, there was no glass, but there was one paper cup. The only - and I am really straining every sinew to find a positive, was that the barman was pleasant and helpful. Nothing much shocks me, but this property - I struggle to term it a hotel - really has. Yes Barcelona hotels are expensive, but this isn’t even a moderately adequate product for the money. There are vastly better hotels for the same or similar price tag. I highly recommend you stay somewhere else.

Check in was done quick, WiFi connection is all right for work, and the room was possible to keep dark, cold and quiet. Staff seem nice, especially the bartenders. Good location in close proximity to shopping and metro station. Area feels safe as well On the negative side, water is hard to temperature. Either very hot or cold. But not cold enough to be a pleasure to drink. A trash can inside the room would also be nice. But apart from these small things, it’s a very fine hotel. Will happily come back another time! 👍

The bed was comfortable and it had fast wifi No water kettle or fridge but there is a decent mall across the street. This is NOT in Barcelona, but you can get to the city center in 30 mins, make sure you buy a 10 trip metro pass, if you buy a single zone ticket or use your cc the journey will be 5.10 for one way instead of 1.26 with the t-train pass

We had a quick overnight stay in Barcelona before a cruise and chose this hotel due to price mainly because we booked late. I was pleasantly surprised! The rooms are small and basic but what more do you want for a short stay? There were shops and restaurants close by which was handy. Staff were exceptionally friendly! Breakfast was ok, I can’t think of much more to say about it. Breads, yoghurt, fruit, meats etc, nothing special but just ok. I recommend this hotel though for its location close to Barcelona airport

I have been coming to this hotel for many years for both business and pleasure, and have come to love the place. It is clean, pleasant and the staff are all super friendly. I have seen 2 refurbishments over the years - it now has a great music theme - but secretly I still prefer the original traditional Spanish flamenco theme it had when I first came here. The rooms are typical Ibis of course but airy, roomy, clean and with a splendid shower. The restaurant is great and has an enclosed and shady outdoor terrace area too. Breakfast is also typical Ibis but with outstandingly delicious coffee. It sits in a largely industrial area but the Splau shopping and cinema complex is just a 5 minute walk away and has a good selection of restaurants etc. The airport is around 10 minutes by car.
