Being a platinum member, i booked 2 rooms paid USD$290 for one night. one room was upgraded as a membership rule. my other couple also is an accor gold member but we didnt share the information. Welcome drinks card were norm everywhere i travelled and booked with accor member, card issued and “ guests” can have free complimentary welcome drinks but not mentioning how many guests. But rules changed and inconsistent, bar insists only one complimentary which I said is fine, I pay the other 2 drinks but i will pay with membership discount. The bartender flip flopping 3 times and one white lady front desk said “normally” don’t give discounts for member. So i asked what abnormally cases will be and they cannot answer. I was insulted by the white lady front desk and I told them I didnt get platinum membership simply for free. The 15% discounts were not enough for the taxes and service charges. I am not asking for free welcoming drinks for chris sakes! This is the most humiliating sofitel experience ever ! Never will step there again!
