Stayed in Novotel Peace Beijing for 8 nights. Hotel is relatively old but well maintained. Hotel staff are very friendly and responsive to requests. Premier lounge staff, Ms Guo annd Ms Hao, are very hospitable and attentive to guest. Overall a very pleasant stay. Will return another day.

Great location but dated and tired hotel

The hotel is very well located in one of the main shopping areas, within walking distance of Tianannmen Square and very near two subway stations giving access to the entire city. Check in was a little brusque but efficient and I was soon in my room on the 17th floor. Unfortunately, the room was very tired and dated. The curtains were ill-fitting making it difficult to block out the early morning light. The furniture is definitely past its best. However, the bed was comfortable. The room safe did not work and the TV was not tuned. However, the wifi was good, as was the air conditioning. The room also has tea/coffee facilities and a minibar. The bathroom had plentiful hot water and good toiletries. Breakfast is mediocre- quite a large buffet but the quality was poor. I was on a bed and breakfast rate but only had breakfast the first morning. I had breakfast outside the hotel on the other two mornings. Room service dinner was disappointing. The choice of dishes was limited, the food was tepid when delivered to the room and the taste was just ok. If location is a key criterion, it is a good option. If not, there are better options in Beijing until this hotel has the facelift- inside and out - that it needs.

During my one-night transit stay, I was pleasantly surprised to find myself in an impeccably clean suite that exuded comfort and elegance. A service with temperature

My wife hurt her knee before this trip and had to use a wheelchair for long walks. We checked in on 26Apr25 and were assigned with room 1516 which is a twin bed room we requested. However, the bath tub is so high that my wife has difficulty to use. I went to the front desk and explained of the situation and asked for a twin bed room with walk-in shower. Too bad that such a room was not available on that night and the male staff gave me an offer of changing to a room with walk-in shower but a king size bed. He offered if the room is suitable for my wife, an extra bed can be arranged as the room is spacious enough. After checking on the room 1503, I was so pleased to take that offer and after notifying the front desk, two ladies from the house keeping came had all arranged within 15mins. The service and the quick response was wonderful and much appreciated. Although the hotel is a bit old with its funiture and decorations, it is comfortable and the location is perfect. Rooms for improvement on breakfast buffet as the choices are quite limited.

Great location, bad bed

The location is excellent, very close to Wangfujing Street and with many shopping and dining options (just be aware that they close early). The hotel structure is old, but still very good. The breakfast is very good and has a lot of variety. The only downside was the bed, which was very hard - if the bed had been good the stay would have been perfect.
