Very nice stay and Resort !

We spent 4 nights and days in half board in this beautiful resort. We had a bad room at pool level with no sun and no bay view as bought we told to front desk and as platinum member they upgrade us in a beautiful suite. Quick and perfect reaction from staff. Staff is very nice and efficient in all resort. The food buffet is such good and a lot of different plantes every day. For breakfast or dinner and a lot of seafood. Amenities are diversified and cleaned. Pool is nice bar show as well. Beach is 10 min walk or shuttle and beach is so beautiful with sunbed for client. This is really a beautiful resort for Sardinia we enjoyed this area more than north ! A resort to be visited !

The hotel location is quite good and you don´t need a car unless you want to explore distant areas. The marina is 10 min by walk – but there is not much, the village of Villasimius is easily reached from the hotel by easy walk in 25 min, or you can use bike (that what we did) that you can rent for free at the hotel and it takes 7 min to the centre. The village is nice with many restaurants and shops. If you decide to go there for a dinner keep in mind that most of the restaurants open at 7 p.m. or 7.30 p.m. The hotel provides also free shuttle bus that takes you to the village in exact time schedule, but you have to book ahead and the last leaves at 6.30 p.m. from the hotel and last pick-up at the village is 8.00 p.m which is obviously not convenient if you wanna spend an evening in the village. You can also take regular taxi or tuk-tuk, but be prepared to pay 40 Euro for 4 people which I found totally inappropriate. We were not on a half-board, just breakfast. Breakfast was wide choice, great espresso coffee, lots of fresh fruits... everything. I only recommend to be there round 8 a.m., as round nine it gets pretty busy and noisy. I can not comment on the dinner, because we did not have any at the hotel, but according to what I saw, the atmosphere in the main restaurant was quite sterile and generic. I definitely recommend to go to the village, there are some very nice restaurants with great food and atmosphere. We had a family room on the ground floor with garden view. The view was sort of ordinary, just dry garden.The room was very modern, obviously recently reconstructed, nicely furnished, spacious, airy and very clean with nice balcony. Bathroom was also modern, clean ans spacious. I have to point out that the cleaning ladies did a great job every day so I would give them a special credit.Yes, as the other reviews say, the hotel is not exactly on the beach, but you get there easily by walk (10 min) or by golf -cart that operates all the time and we never waited for it more than 2 min. So to get on the beach is not an issue. The hotel beach is nice, well kept, sun bets are o.k., but sun- umbrellas are rather small and fixed, so you have to move your beds if you wanna stay in shade. Beach is a bit busy, on both sides of the hotel beach are public access. However, the sea is fantastic, sand is white, water crystal clear, clean, warm, luxury swimming, waves appropriate. It looks like in a Caribbean, really. The food on beach is simple, near is hotel´s restaurant or restaurant Delfino, which is quite overpriced. Once we had a lunch in restaurant Mediterrano. That was quite disappointment: food from fridge heated in microwave (at least it tasted like that) for non-sense price. Otherwise staff at reception and restaurants and at beach were very nice. Every night they had some entertainment at the hotel, we attended only once, but it was really nice. Some might be interested how much is the transfer from the Cagliary airport, so we booked by our own and payed 120 Euro one way for 4 people, while hotel would charge 170 Euro. So, book by yourselves. All -over – we had a really good time in this hotel, though I would not say the hotel is 5 star. They need to up-date the reception, restaurant and also work on the atmosphere.

Arrived at hotel to check in. Waited in line until Spa staff pushed 2 guests in front of me. Reception staff served them rather than the guest who had been waiting 10mins. Room not upgraded even though Gold status. Then told they had found a room same category but renovated which would be ready in 40 mins. Waited an hour still room not ready asked to be shown both rooms & the original one was awful. Should not be offered to high tier guests nor should an upgrade have to be asked for. It was 2 hours after arriving we finally got the room. Was told at one point that it was ready but not checked off which would take another 25 mins!!! Unpleasant & umwelcoming arrival. Will wait to see how the day pans out but not to an acceptable standard at all. Staff seemed to think they were going me a favour.

We had yet another fantastic stay at beautiful Timi Ama resort! What sets this place apart, in addition to the beautiful beach and gardens, is the quality of its people. Our son was captivated by Micaela and the rest of the children’s club team who patiently invited him to play every at the beach and other games through the resort. Adults also benefit from great activities and shows - Greta, Sara and the rest of the team made us move (and suffer ;)) everyday! Shows were also a fantastic and family friendly way of ending up the day - such talented dancers. Finally, we were always spoiled by Zhou and team, from breakfast to dinner. Only housekeeping felt sometimes a bit rushed, but nothing preventing us from planning our stay next year! Hoping management changes don’t impact any of this ;)
