Among the Vines

We love staying at the Novotel Barossa. It's a beautiful p[roperty set among the vines with large rooms and Balconies overlooking the scenic countryside. It is located in a lovely area close to all tourist attractions and the little towns that dot the Barossa Valley.

It was some years since we last stayed at this resort but had fond memories of the lovely views from the room and beautiful surrounding countryside. We were not disappointed on this return visit. Staff were excellent, room had everything we needed and was spotless. Verandah had lovely views. We dined several nights in-house at The Cellar Kitchen, service and food was very good. Our wonderful waitress Amanda made our stay even more enjoyable with her great service and helpful hints for exploring the region. Breakfast was also excellent with a comprehensive spread. Plenty of wineries in the region which are easy to drive to and the hotel is quite close to towns as well. All in all a lovely visit and we we can recommend .

We were given a gift voucher to stay at this location. We had a nice room not far from the reception area with views of the pool, hills, clouds and kangaroos. The buffet breakfast was very good with many choices of food. We had stayed here before and will return again as it is so close to all the places to viisit in the Barossa Valley.

We had a fantastic stay - the view from our 2 bedroom villa was fantastic, we enjoyed the free wine tasting and breakfast was really good. Our 2 bed room room was on the second floor which might be a problem with luggage for some people but was fine for us and ensured we had a great view although the ground floor rooms still have good views. The room had absolutely everything we needed and was very clean and well maintained. We had picked up all sorts of gourmet items at the Adelaide central market that we had for our evening meal on our balcony watching the sun go down..... magic. The hotel is at the top end of pricing but we felt the facilities and quality of staff still made our stay resonable value. We wanted to visit some cellar doors using taxis however the reception staff recommended a chauffer service instead and it was really good and well priced. It is a modern hotel with old fashioned good service and the staff are happy to share local knowledge, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely return. We accidentally left some items behind in our room and the hotel posted them to us. That is exceptional service!

We weren’t expecting a lot from a country hotel but were pleasantly surprised with the Novotel. Gorgeous views, spacious rooms, that are surprisingly well layed out with plenty of storage and room for cases etc and also include a small kitchenette with wine glasses etc - essential for a Barossa trip. Beds were comfortable also. Pool area is lovely (and water heated) although didn’t have a great deal of time to use it given our itinerary. Would stay again if in the Barossa.
