The hotel was originally built in the late 19th century and underwent a renovation just a few years ago. It does not have its own restaurant; however, breakfast is available for an additional fee and is very generous. A nice snd well stocked bar. Overall, service and housekeeping function well, and the reception staff are mostly proficient in English. There are, however, some shortcomings in the rooms. At present, the air conditioning is not operational, just overheats the room when left on. In addition, due to poor room design, storage space for guests’ clothing is very limited. While there are a few hangers in the wardrobe, there are no dressers and on ly 2 small shelves for other personal items. As a result, guests are largely forced to keep their belongings in their suitcases and retrieve clothing from them as needed.

Stayed here for two nights including Christmas day in 2025. We had a family room which is two rooms next to each other with a separate front door, very spacious. The hotel is really well located, only a 5 minute walk from either of 2 metro stations, and right in the heart of the main shopping precinct. Hotel is a classic French building, and very clean and well maintained. All staff are very friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions for dinner etc. The bar area is cosy but a good place for a drink, and the breakfast on offer on Level 1 was outstanding. We were really happy with our stay here, we could walk everywhere, with plenty of eating choices nearby, plus several conveniences stores as well. Definitely a 5 of of 5.

A fantastic location, well-maintained, and truly excellent customer service. We were there for my mother's 75th birthday and the staff went above and beyond to make our visit very special. Rooms and bathrooms are a nice size and the breakfast was delicious.

The hotel is perfectly located in the Presqu'île area of Lyon, near major sites, restaurants, pubs, shopping, and a short walk across any of several bridges to Vieux Lyon (historic Renaissance district). From Vieux Lyon, you can take the funicular up the hill to Notre-Dame de Fourvière.
