Beautiful hotel right in the edge of the mountains . Free WiFi and good choices for breakfast .a train ride of 2 hours from Geneva airport lots of nice unique shops in the area

Hotel disables air conditioning making rooms very hot and stuffy

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in early March 2025. The hotel is rather ‘tired’ and in need of renovation. Nevertheless, the staff were quite friendly. During our stay the weather was pleasantly warm and our room became stuffily hot - 25 degrees Celsius. But the air conditioning in the room would only blow hot air. I told the staff that I thought it was broken but was informed that, because it was winter, the air conditioning would indeed only provide hot air, and that we should open the windows to cool the room. Another staff member told me the air conditioning is only enabled in May. The windows in the room were only about 40 cm square and opening them (after they had been closed by housekeepers!) made very little difference to the temperature. Moreover, it was not practicable to keep them open during the night because of the hotel’s proximity to a noisy railway line. Consequently, we did not have one good night’s sleep during our stay. I find it unacceptable that a hotel should be so uninterested in its customers’ comfort. I urge anyone who likes to sleep in a cool room at night to avoid this one.

The bed is very comfortable, which is the only good thing about this hotel. No public area to relax in. No staff in bar, and seating has all the comfort of a North Korean bus station. The room is more broom cupboard than 20m². Perhaps because my wife was not able to travel with me, they decided they could give me a rubbish room. One lift not working and the other faulty, which is not good if you are 75 years old and on 5th floor. Very expensive for a very poor hotel.

The rudest staff I have ever encountered, a hotel that doesn’t know the meaning of the word hospitality. No guest service, not enough equipment and they even ran out of beer and closed the bar at 10pm. Asking for water was a huge inconvenience! Food was terrible, poorly cooked and cold. A complete joke!

I was sincerely sorry to learn that your last experience in our hotel did not live up to your expectations. Great wee one nighter in here in the lovely city of Grenoble. The hotels just out of the centre and we found it easily accessible via public transport. The hotel team were all very pleasant and welcoming. We didn't eat in the hotel but we used the spa area which was very nice. If I'm back in Grenoble I'd stay here again.
