The hotel is in a wonderful location, though quite far away from all restaurants and the centre of town. During our stay it was very warm (31 degrees) but the airconditioning had not been turned on yet. this was a decision that had to be made by management when we asked about this at reception. We had to sleep with the windows open which caused mosquitos to come into the room and it was quite noisy due to the road being quite close.

Even though we did have a good stay this IBIS Styles is not worth 4 stars. This as the rooms have a bare minimum of amenities (no coffee machine or kettle, no fridge, no decent blowdryer), the breakfast buffet is too limited and the entire look and feel of the hotel too faded. Staff however is friendly, room is clean, bed is huge, dogs are very welcome.

I am writing this review in the dark on a picnic table because there is only 1 light in the room and it is a pendulum light in the corner next to the bed. I guess they want to save on electricity. The rest of the room is dark. I would really like to get out of here and find a better hotel. If I could leave at this very moment I would. This hotel is OK but not if you are on business and I am stuck here all week. For what they are charging, there is no desk, no refrigerator no microwave, no Ice, no laundry facility, no shuttle service and very little lighting in the room. However, the AC is good, the wifi is good, the bed is comfortable and it is very quiet here. The breakfast buffet is nice and the staff were friendly. My room came with an extra bed and a nice private balcony. Since there was no desk in the room, I removed the picnic table from the balcony and brought it into the room and it now serves as my workstation but I need more light in here. One pendulum light just doesn't do it! A bottle of water at the front desk is 4.50 Euros. The front desk offers snacks at outrageous prices. $10.00 Euros for a slice of pizza and $5.00 Euros for a hot dog. This is the kind of hotel that will nickel and dime you to death. They give you nothing and charge you for everything. Although I have no interest in this, they call it a spa but the facilities here look like they have seen better days and are worn out and are spent. There is really nothing within walking distance. It is remote and the only things nearby are a grocery store and a pizza shop. If you want a pet friendly hotel than this is the place for you. If you are on a business trip then go somewhere else. This hotel is so wrong for me I wish I was booked somewhere else. I will never come back here again I will avoid all Ibis hotels like the plague for all of my future business trips.

Dear guest, Our hotel is located at 2 km of the city center of Aix les Bains, in a large private park, it is easy to go by bus or by feet there. We dont understand why you feeled stuck.. The localisation and equipments of bedrooms are noted on our website when you book a bedroom in order to have no suprises . We haven't any microwave, ice, ... in the rooms, but we can help you with pleasure at the front desk. We stayed for 4 nights. There’s plenty of free parking which was useful. It’s a good 20 min walk into the town centre area. Definitely worth getting a balcony but this ibis isn’t a cheap option even without a balcony, Rooms we’re ok but basic. Missed being able to have coffee in the room. Shower was good and bed was huge and comfy. Breakfast was reasonable but got a bit bored of the selection by the 3rd morning. Staff were friendly.
