Great location, excellent service the staff was second to none!!! Highly recommend. The place is stunning, near to the Metro easy access to main attractions. Restaurant and pubs serving local food. We will definitely come back to Mercure la Sorbonne.

Lovely room with everything needed. Had a quiet room as requested on 3rd floor. Nice simple bar area. Fabulous location. Handy for travel links but also nice to be near the Jardin du Luxumberg. Staff all very kind, warm and welcoming. Will come again!

Top notch. I love the location. Very central walkable distance to a lot of attractions and restaurants. The staff was very professional. Also the sheets were so comfortable. Very clean room. Great selection for breakfast hot and cold. My favorite thing was the room very spacious for European style room. And very, very clean.

Hotel is very well located Rooms are good, but not well soundproofed. You can hear all doors clapping and elevator. Average breakfast compared to other mercure But Thais and Lana at the reception are doing the best out of the stay with a wonderful smile Thank you

Poorly Managed Hotel with Many Deficiencies

Mercure Hôtel Paris La Sorbonne . Do not stay in this Very Poorly managed hotel with pour customer service. It is Unsafe with many technical and room maintenance problems. Bad experience. Stay away form this Hotel We are a family of 10 stayed in the hotel in 4 rooms, for 4 nights last week of May 2024. We had problems with: 1. Room that was accessible to any hotel guest that was in possession of a key card. 2. Elevator (the only one) that could not be used to access from the 4th floor 3. Poorly cleaned bathrooms, what appeared to be fecal matter. 4. Missing soap 5. No towels available 6. Inconsistent policy with regards to complementary coffee and water. In general the on site staff needed to be repeatedly asked to attend to the above issues, and although some were addressed sooner than others, the elevator did not work until the last day of our stay. The hotel applied a small token rebate to our bill on the day of checkout and we were instructed to contact the Hotel Manager to discuss further the lack of service and unrendered services. Once back at home we contacted her by e-mail. After a few weeks we got a reply acknowledging the lack of services and our concerns, with a promise to give us a discount on our next stay. We replied that we are looking for first making good on our past stay and not just an offer trying to attract us with a chance for another stay. The hotel location is great, and the renovated rooms and public areas are pleasant, but what good is that if you are missing essential services and supplies for a normal stay. We gave the hotel ample opportunity to reply further before posting any reviews, but no one has bothered. Shows further the lack of leadership.
