Located in the heart of the Futuroscope Technopole, with a game area in the lobby and guest rooms large enough to accommodate six people, Mercure Poitiers Site du Futuroscope is an ideal place for a family stay. Also catering to business travellers, our hotel in Chasseneuil-du-Poitou has 750 m² of function spaces, free unlimited Wi-Fi and a fitness room. Between meetings or workout sessions, come and savour the housemade dishes of our restaurant, La Cuisine de Marie.

A 10-minute walk from Futuroscope Park, our hotel in Chasseneuil-du-Poitou has a free car park and offers direct access to the A10 motorway. The Futuroscope railway station is 2 km away. Visit the historic centre of Poitiers 12 km away, Saint Savin Abbey, Marais Poitevin and the city of La Rochelle. Then take to the road and see the beautiful Loire Valley castles. You can also play golf at the Haut-Poitou course along the shores of Lac du Saint-Cyr, or treat the kids to an outing at Vallée des Singes.

The hotel is very well located next to the highway, which turns out to be an excellent option for those who need to rest in the middle of a long trip. Some employees don't speak English very well, but nothing that with some patience and a word of French in between can't be overcome. Regarding the hotel's conditions, the rooms are a little small for the Mercure standard that we are used to finding in other countries. The breakfast is up to the standards of a Mercure hotel.

We visited the Mercure travelling back to the UK, instead of actually visiting the Futuroscope park which the hotel is built to accommodate for nearby. We had a pleasant and comfortable stay. The location was very convenient, being all but a roundabout and peage away from the A10, and the breakfast we had there (the restaurant was closed for dinner) was a very good buffet selection at a reasonable price. The bed was comfortable although the pillows were not the best - the shower and bathroom albeit small was also good. Generally, although the room lacked space and comfort, it was functional, new and had a nice themed design. We particularly appreciated the USB slots in the room. Finally, we were very appreciative of the hotel’s COVID-19 safe initiatives - this included one way lifts, mask-wearing, lack of tea and coffee in the room (it could still be made downstairs or on request) and your own ‘grabber’ for buffet breakfasts. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay as comfortable as possible.
