Located on the edge of the main center of town, the parking lot is 200 meters away. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a not very friendly young woman who recited her spiel as if she had already done it numerous times that day. I asked her how late the restaurant was open and she never mentioned having to reserve. Upon arrival at the restaurant, the rather snotty maitre d' asked me if I had reserved! They could maybe coordinate. The room I was in was very basic, with 2 single beds and no coffee/tea making facilities. Most annoying was the fact that the shower door did not close properly so water spilled out onto the floor.

Very central location and interesting conversion of old monastery

The hotel is very central in this delightful town. Loading and unloading is easy in the one way street but parking is a short walk away in a public car park, which the hotel will pay for. built inside what was a monastery it has interesting internal architecture and our rooms were two story with the bed up some stairs. This might not suit everyone but otherwise very well equipped and a good breakfast.

Ridiculously complex wi-fi password meant no access for my phone

Room not that impressive. Only discovered it is a converted church when I logged on to booking.com. But the main reason for writing this review is to point out that they protect their wi-fi with a ridiculously complicated password. (Why? At most it only needs to stop people tapping into it from the street). The upshot is that I was not able to access their wi-fi from my phone. Reception staff were friendly but basically claimed their system wasn’t at fault. Disappointing

Hello, it is our turn to be disappointed by your comment. We do not protect our WIFI .. On the contrary, we have been making it available to our clientele for years. Does our establishment , because of this malfunction probably caused by an internal fire of your system , deserves this comment? The reading of post other than yours leaves us to think that no.. What a shame to punish us this way!!!!
