Beautiful location, amazing water

We severely enjoyed our stay. The location is gorgeous, staff was great, views from over water bugalow were beautiful, resort was lovey. Enjoyed kayaking around the island. Bungalow were nice. Only complaints were the coach roaches in the bungalow’s and food choice was limited. We only stayed 3 nights, and we were getting sick of the limited menu. Enjoyed the free shuttle to mainland so we could try food on mainland.
Beautiful hotel, in every respect!

We chose this hotel along with the Intercontinental for our time on Bora Bora. The Sofitel was superior in almost every respect (they both had equally wonderful staff!). The rooms were clean, spacious and well-appointed. Daily still and sparkling water was most appreciated. When we requested diet soda instead of regular, they remembered every day. The bathroom was spacious with lovely amenities. The snorkel gear and paddle boards were of excellent quality. Snorkeling was incredible! We had dinner there each night, and it was great. The numerous seating areas around the property provided panoramic views, and often were decorated with fresh flowers. We wish we had chosen to stay there for more nights (we stayed three).
Beautiful Views and Snorkling

We loved snorkeling from our porch. The coral nursery was within a few feet from our porch. We were given a transit room to change in while waiting for our room. The room was terrific! The staff was accommodating.
Good Stay if wanting to just relax and rejuvinate

We had a great time and the place and people were very nice and pleasant. Air conditioning could have been better as we had it turned as low as possible and still only mildly comfortable when it was 85 degrees out and some humidity. Nice amenities other than that. Not a lot to do on the island, but relax or take excursions to the main island, but if you want to unwind, relax and snorkel right out your bungalow it is great.
Not as advertised

Going to Bora Bora was a once in a lifetime trip for us and we wanted to stay in a bungalow to cross it off our bucket list. Your bungalows are advertised as having A/C and blackout blinds, which we wanted so we could be comfortable and relax. Upon arrival we discovered there was a window air cooling unit that could not cool down the room because the windows have shutters and air flows freely in and out of many places. The window unit would not be strong enough even if the windows had seals. There was a canopy above the bed and under the fan so that the air from the fan was blocked if you were in the bed. There were black out curtains on one window, which was surrounded by many other large windows, defeating the purpose of black out curtains. We wished that we had stayed somewhere else as we could not cool down and were sweating the entire time we were there. Sleeping in wasn't an option either.
