フロントの方々に丁寧に対応していただきました。 部屋に冷蔵庫がないので、冷えすことができませんでしたが、気温もやや下がってきていたのと、基本外食だったので、そこまで困ることはありませんでした。 朝食も焼きたてのパンも食べることができたので良かったです。 少し歩くとスーパーや外食できるお店もあり、また電車の駅も近いので、快適に滞在することができました。

Dear Madam, Sir, I would like to share my experience with the Ibis Berlin Ost hotel (Allee der Kosmonauten 33C, 12681 Berlin), and you can decide if it is of any interest or not. On May 02, 2024 I booked a stay at the Ibis Berlin Ost hotel under my name for August 02, 2024, with the booking confirmation number: NJFDKKTB. For about 5 years now I am a member of the Accor Hotels Group and I book through their internet platform. The Ibis Berlin Ost hotel belongs to the Accor group. A peculiarity of the Accor-booking-platform is that it does not always allow prepayment of a booking, so that in the past 5 years roughly half of my total reservations were without prepayment, and yet I always had access to my reservations without a problem. At the previous day and the day of arrival I was unable to check in online due to the type of traveling and lack of internet connection. Furthermore on the arrival day, i.e. August 02 at 07:21 PM, I also missed an email from an Ibis Berlin Ost hotel Manager, asking me to confirm if the NJFDKKTB-reservation is an error ! I reached the Ibis Berlin Ost hotel and the above mentioned email when I arrived to Berlin, after 11 hours on the highway, at 01:40 AM in the morning. I was standing in front of closed doors. A booking machine in the hotel vestibule was out of order. I called the indicated help line, that answered at 02:25 AM, telling me to call the night manager. At 02:40 AM in the morning with the night manager not responding and without accommodation, I left Berlin towards Munich without any rest. This overnight stay in Berlin on August 02, 2024 should have allowed the smooth continuation of my journey from Gothenburg, Sweden to my final destination of Munich, Germany (Scandic Göteborg Central to ibis budget Berlin Ost about 11 hours drive and from Berlin to Munich about 7 hours drive). How do you do? When you make a reservation via the website, you will be asked for a credit card as a guarantee at every Accor hotel. It is expressly pointed out that the reservation loses its validity after 6 pm. this is not only the case with us, but in every Accor hotel. Since we do not have a 24-hour reception, reservations are taken out at 10 pm at the latest if no credit card is available. as you said, we have been informed of this by e-mail. It is therefore not clear to us why you went to the hotel despite having canceled your reservation. Yours sincerely Ibis Budget Berlin Ost

We decided to stay at this hotel because I had a decent experience with Ibis hotels in the past. Sadly, this hotel was a disaster. The rooms were nasty and the shower…. it looked (and smelled) like it had never been cleaned. At first we didn’t want to make a big deal out of it, because it is a budget hotel. However, the first morning we went to eat breakfast and everything was cold. We were there at 9AM so it wasn’t of we were late or something. Again, we just ate and tried to justify it because of the pricepoint. The real disaster started when we wanted to check out. I asked the woman if we could leave our bags at the hotel for the day, but she just pointed at a public spot. I asked if our stuff would be supervised at least, but only until 2PM. We accepted it, because our train wasn’t leaving until 2:34AM. When we asked if we could check out before breakfast the woman started rolling her eyes and sighing. She said that it was only until 10:30AM, but this was never said to us when we were checking in. We were 30 minutes late. Everything (2 pieces of bread and some coffee 😳) was still there. She was so rude to us and tried to guilttrip us by saying: nah (eyesrolling) just eat, I will have to wait cleaning up (a lot of eyerolling and sighing). We decided to leave and didn’t get what we paid for. I do not recommend staying here. You can get a lot better for the same price or even less

Unfortunately, we do not have lockers for luggage, so guests can leave their luggage with us in the breakfast room if they wish. I paid 70 Euro per night for a 2-night stay in Berlin. It's very close to public transport, so you can easily jump on a train to the city center. The staff was very nice in letting me check in long before the actual check in time, because my room happened to be available already. The shower was not ideal, as it's small and it was a pain to get (and keep) the right temperature. Apart from that, I do recommend staying at this hotel. :)
