This a well priced, basic hotel which allows you to stop for the night without leaving the motorway (and you can access it from both north and southbound). The staff are friendly and the breakfast, provided at the Paul bakery is excellent. Parking is safe in an enclosed area. As others have said, the main issue is the lack of air conditioning. So not a problem most of the year - but a real issue if it's hot!

I would prefer to pay a bit more and have air con. Luckily I had booked as I arrived around 11pm and would not have got in without a booking. Good to have secure parking. The bed was very uncomfortable and the room was unbearably hot. Staff were helpful and sweet.

Really bad hotel. They never heard of cleaning. Everything was dirty. The room: even the bed was not fresh made up. Much dirt under the bed, was not cleaned for a long time. No warm water in the bathroom. The hallway: everywhere was dirt. The reception/eating point: Dirt on the chairs/couch Only positive: the situation of the hotel along the highway A39

Accor/Ibis do not provide clear information on the (lack of) facilities at this services. It is claimed the restaurant remains open to 8pm. On arrival at 5:30 pm the restaurant was already shut until 11:30 am the next day. The sandwich shop (Paul) was and remained open but that is no substitute when anticipating a sit down evening meal. The shop remained open but had no fresh food. The wine shelves are also screened off since they are no longer allowed to sell alcohol on the autoroute, so all in all the shop had little to offer that was not in the sandwich shop. Just off other junctions on the autoroute there are better value hotels (pet friendly) with better facilities at lower prices. Overall poor value, probably why hotel and services were near deserted despite the Toussaints holiday surge.

Chosen on account of its location between London and Lucca. Although it was very reasonably priced, it was a little more basic than anticipated. The rooms had everything one needed but the plastic shower and loo took a little getting used to. They should provide two pillows per person.
