We are truly sorry to read about your experience, especially the lack of warmth you felt from our team and the billing issues you encountered at check-out. This is not the level of service or trust we aim to deliver at Sofitel New York. We sincerely apologize for the incorrect charges you described, including the attempted charge for your welcome drink coupon. This should not have happened, and we understand how frustrating it is to feel you had to be on guard. Your comments have been escalated internally for immediate review. We are also very concerned by your remarks regarding housekeeping entering too early and without proper confirmation, as well as the missed trash removal. These are serious service failures, and we are addressing them with the relevant teams to ensure they are not repeated. We were notified by New York City authorities of emergency steam work in the surrounding area Sunday March 1st which led unforeseen outage that impacted multiple businesses in the neighborhood, including our hotel. Unfortunately, this situation was entirely outside of our control. As soon as we were informed, our team worked to gather accurate updates and share only confirmed, factual information with our valued guests.
