Noisy Saturday

The privilege room included a mini bar stocked with soft drinks and a coffee machine. Saturday night was noisy from the night club next door, Sunday there was no problem. Hotel parking costs 10 euro but there is a free car park across the road.

Comfortable rooms though it must be Accor policy not to have air conditioning switched on as room was very warm due to thundery weather and thunderstorm which flooded and brought down the ceiling in the restaurant. Air-conditioning was not available though advertised and installed. Staff were helpful in all respects especially Thomas who was happy to share recommendations of restaurants and was obliged to cope with the difficult situation of the storm damage meaning that some guests were unable to get anything to eat.

We stayed for just two nights but it was excellent. Having stayed at other Mercures, everything was as expected. What wasn’t expected was the service provided by Thomas Croissant. It was absolutely stellar. He made us feel like we were the only guests in the hotel. All in all, a fabulous stay in a fabulous town. Ask for Mr. Croissant when you get there. Btw, he speaks English, Spanish, Italian and of course French. We had fun speaking all four languages with him.

Checkin was rather casual but other than that the hotel was nice and the service good. Breakfast was also good and happily there was a toaster. The croissants could have been better, though. As the hotel is at the outskirts of town, the existence of a local bus service was much appreciated, although it stopped at about 7pm.

Too far from the city center This hotel is mainly for business trip No particular charms for a 4 stars hotel I think they could have done better in terms of facilities and ameneties - no water in the bedrooms, the fridge didn’t work and the safe was out of work The staff is very nice and professional
