Pleasantly surprised with this cute hotel in Hamilton. Had everything you needed save for bedroom slippers. Room was nice and spacious.

Good room, clean, well appointed. Parking was a little expensive but maybe that’s to be expected. Location very good for downtown activities and restaurants etc

From the moment we arrived until the time we left, the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The property was easy to find, perfectly located, and offered the convenience of free parking right on the side. The view of the Waikato River was an unexpected bonus, adding to the overall charm. Our room was spotless, quiet, and wonderfully spacious. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and with plenty of storage available, it made our stay feel effortless and relaxing.

I stayed at the Novotel Hamilton Tainui recently — great hotel overall, especially if you want to be in the heart of Hamilton. If you’re visiting Hamilton and want a reliable, well‑located hotel with good service, Novotel Tainui is a strong choice.

Lovely room with beautiful outlook over Waikato River. Room has been recently refurbished. Great service. The real letdown was dinner. We had previously dined at the hotel restaurant earlier this year and had a great à la carte meal however when we arrived at the restaurant this stay we were told that it was buffet only on Friday and Saturday nights. The buffet was very average unfortunately.
