We absolutely loved our stay here. A family of 4, including 2 young children. We chose it because of the pool, the spacious rooms and the location being able to walk into Bari centre. The pool and grounds are absolutely beautiful. Pool was a lovely temperature, very tranquil considering how close you are to Bari hustle and bustle, don’t hear the trains. There was lots of sunloungers available and parasols. We wish we had longer to just chill by the pool. We had a very spacious room on the 6th floor. It suited us perfectly as a family of 4 with a big pram and lots of luggage. The room was a bit dated, the bathroom more so. Shower was a bit awkward, very small shower cubicle that overfilled very quickly. So not a relaxing shower experience, but fine. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great but a little crowded at times. I’d advise avoiding the 9am rush! The gym is incredibly well equipped. Location was about a 20 minute walk to the old town. We walked into Bari all three nights of our stay, with a pram, took us a bit longer avoiding steps under the railway which we tackled the second and third night. First night we walked back about midnight and it felt a bit intimidating but the next two nights was a similar time and we felt much more comfortable and very safe. Just a natural reaction to a new place I think. I think the hotel is really good value considering all these things. I really hope we get to visit again.

The hotel is on the site of an old villa and has lovely gardens with some old fountains and features - even a cute little “altar” for weddings. The pool is lovely but on the first afternoon we struggled to find a sun-lounger (it was a Sunday). Staff on reception were efficient but not particularly friendly. Our room was very large and comfortable -as was the bed! The bathroom has a couple of chipped and cracked tiles but the shower was excellent. The air con worked very well too. The breakfast room is tiny considering how large the hotel is. Guests must book an hour slot. The tables inside were very close together and very close to the buffet making it quite awkward to get around. There are only two small coffee machines and there was a constant queue- not helped by it regularly needing to be emptied or filled! The buffet itself was very good. The egg station was particularly good- freshly prepared to order- omelettes, boiled or fried eggs or pancakes/waffles. There were lots of cakes and pastries as well as cheeses and meats, and little fruit pots. I felt that the hotel could do more to lesson the impact of guests on the environment: there were unrecyclable plastic and/or paper cups instead of ceramic in the rooms. The towels were changed each day despite hanging them on the rails. Lots of tiny plastic toiletry bottles in the bathroom, and the half used soaps and toiletries were discarded by the chamber-maid. The hotel’s location was not ideal on the outskirts of the city but was very well signposted from literally everywhere in Bari! It’s a 10min walk from the train station and about 30mins into Bari old town. Taxis were pretty easy to bool from the hotel but almost impossible to get back from Bari.

This is our second visit to this hotel and it won’t be our last. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff are super friendly. The pool is the most beautiful pool I have ever used. It’s about a 30 minute walk to Old Town but we cut this down by either using the Metro (3 mins), eating more locally (amazing restaurants) or getting a taxi back from the station for 12 euros. The food in the hotel was decent as well.

Very good hotel and service, but location is not the best

We had 2 rooms for 3 nights incl breakfast. Check in was easy and fast. The facilities at the hotels have been very good - rooms are spacious and clean, there was always a place at the pool when needed. A big thanks to Silvana in the breakfast restaurant. With her smile, songs and her delicious omelets we could not get a better start of the day. The only issue is the location - you have to walk about 20 min to come to the center, even more for the old town. Outside the hotel it is not very clean.

Disappointing service

Hotel is ok located 1km from train station so convenient in that context but a fair hike from old town tourist centre Really disappointed with check in process with woeful service at reception who really did not make any effort to assist us at all - arrived early at 12 with check in at 2 and was advised that "room would be ready at 2 and not before". Room was clearly ready well before but they just couldn't be bothered letting us know - asked for early taxi to be booked for following morning and was told it would be...came back at 10pm, and re-checked - it hadn't been - inadvertently booked room for one person rather than 2 and was slapped with 25 euro surcharge for "extra costs" - it was one room for one night....... So, not a customer friendly experience at all, generally get treated much better than this at Accor properties, especially as a Gold member
