Standard hotel chain room but very clean and well presented. They have a deal for parking which is just a 2 minute walk. Worked for us on our three week road trip around France. Ideal for a trip to the Pont Du Gard, Nimes, Arles and the wonderful Camargue. Try it out and see if it’s a good fit for you.

Awful hotel. Rooms are too small, even for France. The shower is only hand held. Towels threadbare. Rooms hot with only small window. Breakfast was OK but I would avoid this hotel. Staff for breakfast was nice, front desk was useless. Location is nice but it's a small city.

Perfect Location - Next to the Papal Palace

We chose to stay in the Privilege Room which had a huge balcony overlooking the Papal Palace. It was an exceptionally quiet room with fabulous views. Hotel staff Jooan and Stephanie were so delightful in helping make our stay more special. Discounted parking is in the Parking Palais des Papes but make sure you follow the signs for the Hotel Mercure Avignon Palais De Papes once you have parked not signs for Hôtel Mercure Pont d'Avignon Centre - different hotel - and a lot more walking with suitcases along cobbled streets!

If this hotel has any stars, it must be for its friendly staff and location. The restaurant's offerings are passable, though not noteworthy, but undeniably convenient. Unfortunately, the breakfast was an unpleasant experience; the scrambled eggs were soggy and served ice-cold, leaving a distasteful impression. The overall cleanliness of the hotel is subpar, with the hallways and bedrooms adorned with filthy, stained rugs. The pervasive unpleasant odor in the hallways and bedrooms compelled me to spray perfume to mitigate the stench, albeit with little success. Our suite, featuring a sofa bed, was marred by the absence of lighting, rendering the room practically useless for anything beyond luggage storage. I would have promptly sought alternative accommodation if not for our business commitments that kept us away from the hotel. Given my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel in good conscience nor fathom staying here again.

You are nestled in the village and just about everything is just a few steps away. Restaurants, bistros, retail and all the history! Breakfast was great, pillows also! Staff was so courteous and extremely helpful! Another bonus ….water was readily available.
