Room conditions and furniture are a bit dated. It is classified as a hotel but some basic services and provision are unavailable such as no housekeeping during weekend and holidays and tissue is not provided.

Poor room furniture and no clean up service

I only knew it when we were back lately as there was no clean up service during weekend. The check in staff should have reminded us. She only highlighted the wifi set up and password which to be honest we prefer to use our data. The room 18 was a worse room among the hotel I guess. The bed was without support and declined towards the middle. It was not nice as we thrown from Singapore for a middle flight and drove more than 6 hours from Perth airport on Mar 30 morning. You can imagine how bad the sleeping conditions for both of us. It was a nightmare. In fact the charges was unbelievable high. We stay at Four Points by Sheraton with just AUD179 and crown Towers for just AUD279. The room conditions and amenities can never be matched. Come back to room 18, the curtains hook were mostly broken, limited hangers just 4, only one chair was provided, uneven table surface which was scary and with a hole. The iron was in bad condition with sand or unknown object come out. We didn’t bring along slippers and oral kits. Even if you are supplying but please offer us to pay and get it rather than rush to the convenience store. The floor was so dirty and we cannot accept to walk barefoot. We were decided to stay only one night and change hotel for the second night but unfortunately you have already charged my credit card at the time of check in and this practice was quite unusual with most of the hotel which will post the bill at the time of departure. Our overall comment is never ever stay at ibis Style Geraldton or equivalent. You have total destroyed the brand name of Accor. I was told the manager will be back at 6am on date of our departure, it was so bad I didn’t have a chance to meet up with him at 7:30am while we are prepared to leave. Honestly, this is not right, you are not facing your guests. I now demand 50% refund for the money that I pay and I will report my issue with Australia tourist board. Issues have to be looked into seriously as we deserve.
