Very good resort

We have enjoyed our stay very much. The resort was clean, full of flowers, great pools and nice places to walk. The animation program was excellent, with dances, volleyball, yoga and other activities during the whole day. The resort also offered paid snorkelling trips - we have tried one to near island and it was worth every cent. The workers from the bars, restaurant and animation team very kind, welcoming and helped with everything that we needed. There are things that we feel could be improved - the first one is the gym which is really small and has limited amount of equipment and the second are the available vegan options. We did not stay hungry, however it would be great if some more plant based meals options could be added, such as tofu, seitan or tempeh.

This hotel is a horror place

Sorry but I'll recommend nobody this hotel. Quality is not good. Staffs are very respectless, specially bar. My first and last trip. I'm very disappointed to travel again to Egypt. This people have never seen Women in their life and want to be close to every each woman.

Not the best at all, even for Accor

Situation : 4km from the airport, close to Hurghada by taxi. Reception : receptionists are friendly and welcoming. Rooms : our family room (without even asking for one) was spacious and correctly equipped. The shower was big and bed comfy. Pool : warmed when the weather was colder, but once the temperatures rose a bit, the water was freezing. They didn’t give time for the water to warm up. You should get up early if you want a pool chair available. Animations at the pool : you don’t come to this hotel for calmness. Animations are loud and everyone can enjoy it. This certainly enjoyable for people who like animators and shows. This wasn’t what we were searching for but we respect the ambiance. Restaurant : horrible. It’s our 8th time in Egypt and they truly got the palm of the worst served food. We know we don’t come for gastronomy in Egypt but come on, there is the strict minimum. Repetitive and not good at all. We ate melon for days, there was no joy in going to eat. We ate better food during our dive trips with a 3m2 kitchen on a board than in a 4* hotel. 2nd time we’re in a Accor hotel in 4 months and twice upset. The beach : it looks better on photo. If you want a beach chair, you should get up early. Security : 2 checkpoints at the entrance. Our conclusion : we booked this hotel because of the proximity with the marina. I truly thought an Accor Hotel would be a nice experience but I must admit we are upset and we miss European food so much (tasty and generous). Sorry but never again en though there are positive points to their credit.

We had a good time at Mercure Hurghada. Although the hotel is quite dated, it offers a wide variety of things to do. The rooms are actually nice and don't feel dated (one of the best features of the hotel). Another great feature is it's people - be it the reception (huge thanks to Hisham), restaurant/bar service, or animation team and their shows. The food is alright, although not very varied, but enough healthy choices of veg, fruit, fish, so overall very decent. There's a strong presence of russian tourists, which spoil the experience somewhat.
