Unexpected standards with Mecure with this hotel. Bed lights are not working, the front office just say, i have no staff now, it doesnt matter to you, my staff fix on tomorrow. In addition, no amenities is found in washroom, except one multi-purpose soap gel. I went to front office ad asking for tooth brush and shaving kit, the answer just say "NO, we do not have this". there s no intention to help me or solve my need. In my expereince of staying at Mecure, I just stayed at Mecure Madrid 2 days before, This is the poorest Mecure i found. All other mecure in my experience would offer me tooth brush, shaving kit and even slipper!

We booked this hotel as part of a friends reunion weekend but I regret to say that we were disappointed by the overall result of our stay and the hotel has to be one of the poorest I have stayed in recently, it is most definitely not a four star. Despite being a fine old building which from the facade looks impresive the inside is suffering from lack of care some examples are the bathrooms, our shower head was so leaky that as much water was coming from the rear as the desired spray head. We were unable to have the shower head raised to prevent the whole room becoming even more soaked than was already happening, this was not an isolated example as our frinds reported the same issue in their room, surely housekeeping must observe this together with the soaked towels and floor yet nothing is being done to correct the situation. Another example was our room looked out over a large flat roof with a number of skylights above the large dinning room, three of which were covered in large sheets of polythene that blew in the wind and rain making it impossible to have a window open at night due to the noise level. Another indicator of either poor maintenance or lack of investment. The overall decor of the hotel was rather dull and in places highly marked giving an impression of being downtrodden though to be fair the areas were clean and tidy. We did not use the large restaurant area in the evening as previous reviewers had criticisms for the quality and sought out nearby local restaurants which were fine though the area surrounding the location was not too impressive and not one for the short stay city break. The buffet breakfast was acceptable but the hot food rather dry and over cooked. The hotel does have a large underground parking area at €10 per day which provided safe and secure parking together with free electric vehicle charging points. Overall I would not recommend this hotel for city break travellers there are more better placed and I am sure better quality to be found in Bordeaux, Accor not up to your usual standards, this one let you down!

Good overall experience. Very nice receptionists, decent room. Wifi speed could have been better. Overall room/hotel design a little bit out dated, but all very clean. Excellent breakfast buffet and nice bar/restaurant.

Do you speak French? Ils ne parlent pas anglais couramment.

I stayed here for the conference. They didn't recognize my Accor status at all. Other people were also saying that the staffs at this hotel were not friendly and never smile except one lady.One morning, the breakfast buffet area was congested, and many people were sitting in the restaurant area also. A hotel guy told me that this area is not for breakfast but lunch. As he urged me to get out from there, I followed him. But He didn't stop other new people to have tables in the area after that. I soon realized that the particular kind of selected people could take tables in the area. Although I disappointed very much with this experience, I wish that this would be my misunderstanding. Be fluent in French before you stay at this hotel!

The bedroom was very hot although only in May.A/C ineffective. The dining room for beakfast was very messy on the floor and counters. Spillages left for the duration of the half hour. Reception staff very kind and understood a/c problem very well. She Very helpfully booked us in a sister hotel which was brilliant..at the Lac area.

Nice Hotel, far from cosy, but very functional. Avoid the restaurant for dinner! Slow service, dull food without any ambitions. Breakfast was excellent. It is not very far from the city center, but since there is no tram outside the hotel you are better off with a car.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. We checked in and were relaxing in our room, with the door locked from the inside when to our surprise the door opened and another customer arrived having been checked into our room! From that point on, the key to our room never worked. Each time we arrived back at our room tired, we had to go back to the reception to get the key redone. Very frustrating. However the worst part was the temperature in the room. It was stuffy and hot. The air conditioning did not work. When I called the reception I was told we were between seasons. They had turned off the heating but not yet turned on the cooling system. They could not do anything about it!!! They just advised me to open the window. As we were on the ground floor, that was ok in the daytime but impossible at night. We did not sleep at all either night due to the heat in the room. Just dreadful - whatever happened to making your guests comfortable?

Dear Madam, Dear Sir, I have read the comment you wrote in Tripadvisor after your last stay in our hotel. I have read all your remarks with the utmost attention. It is very difficult to have air conditioned during spring months because maximum degrees are between 11 and 24. The room key card can be also inactivated with a cellular phone near by. Regards

With Mercure you expect am less than glamorous hotel, this is not the case. The staff were helpful and warm and in France that can be a rare thing. The breakfast is well thought out with a fantastic selection of food. It's a short stroll into the town centre. Worth a stay.

1. My room telephone was not working. Although I never use, the working telephone does plays an important part when come to emergency. please initiate a plan to ensure that the telephone is working before every check-in, 2. The toilet often gets wet after shower. I feel uneasy each time I step out of the toilet because the carpet will get wet. Perhaps you can consider putting a piece of water absorbent material just outside the toilet for the guess to dry their legs, 3. My room is linked to another room because I can see a door. In my first check-in, I not sure the door is locked or not so I did a check on whether I can open the door in order to confirm that it is locked. Suggest to put a label beside the door lock to indicate that it is at ‘locked’ position, 4. The quality of the pillow is very poor. It is too ‘thin’ for my head to rest on it and therefore I have to stack two of them. Please use a thicker pillow, 5. Because of the thin pillow, I requested for another pillow to be issued to me during the time when the room is in service. Later I found that the pillow was not given to me and I didn’t request again, 6. Sometime the room service request (eg: I request for one more pillow) may not be successful because of many reasons. I would suggest issuing a small sheet of paper (Room Service Request Sheet, or RSRS) in the room. The guess can use this RSRS to do the following examples: i) To fill up the request to get 1 more pillow and put it at the service counter. This will save me time when I am in the rush and need not explain to the counter personnel, ii) To request for laundry service for my clothes by putting the sheet on the stacks of my clothes in my room, 7. There wasn’t any spoon in the room. Only two wooden sticks for us to steer the coffee/tea. It will be good if there is at least one spoon. Please note that in order to provide better service, you need to pay attention to very small little things.

This is a good location. Its an easy 20 min walk into town.There are two Tram stops 5 minutes away and you are in town in another 5. standard rooms are small,and there is not a lot of wardrobe space. Which was a challege as we were staying 6 nights.The staff are very helpful and friendly ,alll speaking good english. Its clean and well maintained.
