Unfortunately, a run-down place that is the worst Novotel that I have experienced in my 30+ years of travel and 25 years of being an Accor member. The hotel urgently needs refurbishment and upgrade. In its current state it does not deserve the name Novotel and should be called Ibis at max.

Hotel in the heart of the city, close to bus stops staff were friendly and helpful, fast check in and asked if i could be on a higher floor and they accommaded my needs. Rooom was neat, clean, if i had to stay here again. Only down fall is the hotel is near a big hill, so choice carefully to avoid walking up the hill.

This hotel is in a convenient position and we enjoyed the on site pub meal after our arrival. We hoped to have a good rest before setting off on a widflower tour the next day. On reaching our room on the 4th floor we were confronted with a booming noise coming from the air circulation system. The air on was not on. I went to reception and informed them and the young man came to the room and assured us he would get maintenance to attend. That was the end of the response! Hence we had little sleep and even with the use of airline provided ear plugs I could hear the noise . After listening to music most of the night we managed a little nap. NOT GOOD ENOUGH ACCOR. We have spoken to others with similar experience at this hotel.. We try to use your hotels and with only one other exception have been more than happy with the standard.

$38 night for parking, I’d expect valet service for that price.. room was shocking, rusty bathroom mirror, cracked toilet, mouldy bath, chipped paint.. Bali rooms outshine these.. king bed was comfy enough but again no top sheet, not everyone wants a hot doona, happy hr drinks downstairs are a joke, only one beer included at $9.50.. definitely wouldn’t return

A very poor first impression. Without any prior advice in booking on app and no signage at reception, I was asked for a $200 bond for 4 nights stay in addition to upfront payment for room, with bond to be refunded 3 days after stay. After haggling reduced to $150. I was refused check-in unless I paid - not really many options at 10 pm after a long days travel. Not a great loyalty recognition for Accor Plus Platinum - I was advised “we even charge our Diamond members a bond!” Suspect this is a nice little earner for hotel holding $1000s a night for at least 3 or 4 days - and of course I paid a credit card surcharge on the refundable bond as well. While room was comfortable and apparently a pre-allocated upgrade to a king room and there was the usual welcome gift - the welcome had already been soured. Now at breakfast at 7 am - adequate but nothing special and a fairly crowded dining area.
