Several big problems detract from the experience.

I hate to criticize this place, because they're nice people, and it's cheap for central Jakarta. But if they improved a few things, it would make a big difference. The biggest one is water. There are no water bottles in the rooms, and no refrigerators. So you have to use the water "cooler" in the hall. But the hall is broiling hot, with no air conditioning, and the chillers aren't working. So your choice for water is hot or hot. Another problem is the electronic room keys—very fussy, and mine had to be completely reprogrammed once while I cooled my heels in said hot hallway. Air conditioning is so-so, breakfast decent with mostly Indonesian food. Convenient location near Jl. Sabang and Jl. M.H. Thamrin.

The location of the hotel is great, it is near the heart of Jakarta. There are a lot of hawkers and coffee shops nearby and most of them are crowded. The staff are great. The room is great. Take note that this is not a newly built hotel so the interior may look a little quaint. The air conditioner works so well!

Nice hotel for a transient stay. For those giving a one star review, manage your expectations based on your allowable budget. If you want a classy room to sleep into, book an Accor's Raffles or Faimont instead. My stay was fantastic, people with a heart, kudos for Suryo and Bayu. Very accommodating on my inquiries and clear information upon check in. I will reconsider to stay and come back here because of accessibility. Rooms nice, good city view, breakfast was good, people are excellent.

Best hotel in this area. Great location, good breakfast and service is excellent. We love the breakfast and comfortable bed. Good pillows and they have have bolster too. Like this hotel very much and will come back again soon. Great jobs hotel team.

Represents Value for Money

Whilst not the most luxurious hotel we've ever stayed in (after all it is an Ibis and this is reflected in the price point), this property does have a number of advantages. Firstly, there is the price (which is very reasonable), the location is also excellent- close to public transport and a number of large shopping centres and finally the staff were very helpful. We took the breakfast package and breakfast was ok- it certainly did the job. Our room was reasonably clean, if somewhat dated. Would I stay here again- certainly.
