Had an amazing experience. Served by the excelled Hedra small. Perfect waiter! He made our experience thoroughly enjoyable and we were treated very well and made to feel exceptional welcome by all the staff here. I hope to return one day and stay in Winston Churchills room and maybe write a murder mystery 😆

Wonderful High Tea at sunset topped off with a tour of Agatha Christie’s suite and the Winston Churchill suite. Wonder guide Shawkat who took time to explain the history and it was lovely to see how proud of his hotel he was. High recommend this hotel and its wonderful staff!

Wow, wow wow. The final leg of our North to South sojourn in Egypt and what a place to stay. From entering the hotel gardens to the amazing internals this is a very special place. We were greeted by a very professional and friendly manager who managed to get us an early check in. He escorted us to our room in the new block (I was initially a little disappointed) but upon entering the room it was immaculate and he then revealed the view north up the Nile overlooking Elephantine Island. I have never before stayed in a place that combines this level of luxury with an iconic status.

Stunning location and we had a suite with a terrace which had beautiful views. But the room was quite tired, food at the restaurant was dreadful (worst we had in Egypt), pick up service was rude, bellman nowhere to be seen on arrival and breakfast buffet sad and service there was poor - still waiting for the omelette I ordered!! I wish a more professional chain took it over because location is stunning but badly run, management who don’t care and a bit of a tourist trap with crazy prices. Overall a bit sad experience was not better since it was special occasion and meant to be a highlight of the trip. Would not return.

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I have stayed in. You will feel like you have stepped back in time. All staff are amazing and will do everything to make your stay comfortable and memorable. The restaurants and bars are great and the pool area is beautiful. We hope to return one day.
