This was such an amazing overnight stay. The staff were simply a standout. Every single person was welcoming and friendly, all said hello when passing. Food was lovely. The rooms have been refurbished and are 10/10. The pool and restaurant area was such an oasis in the middle of Sydney. We travel frequently to the SCG for sport and will be using this hotel everytime. The Accor plus membership also makes it very worthwhile.

We stayed for one night with a 5PM checkout before a 10PM flight. For $A70, the late checkout was very much worth it. This hotel is quite close to the Sydney airport and is low hastle even in heavy Sydney traffic. The bed was comfortable. The room and facilities that we used were clean and tidy. Breakfast was great. Bar staff on the 1st floor were caring. We received a free cup of coffee when they found out we were waiting for our room to be ready. The only potential improvement opportunity is for the front desk staff to meet any commitment they may make related to texting a customer when their room is ready earlier than expected.

A wonderful stay again at Novotel Brighton, front of house so helpful. Being a senior at 83 with a walking cane, they did so much to help Room service just delightful. Only thing missing was there is no clock in the room. Will be there again next year.

Wonderful Wedding Anniversary stay !

We stayed here for our 33rd Wedding Anniversary on the 31st of October and we can’t thank Sophie and team enough for making it very special. We love staying at this Hotel whenever we head to Sydney from New Zealand to see our son and family. We had originally booked the Sofitel Darling Harbour but because this Hotel has always treated us so well we cancelled the Sofitel and booked this Hotel instead. We are so pleased we did ! We really appreciated the great upgrade to a fantastic Suite and the beautiful way that we were greeted in the room. Once again wonderful friendly staff and great facilities at the hotel in a great location. We will be again soon !

Bad food and too many smokers

A valiant attempt at upgrading a hotel with huge potential but the food selection is limited and not very healthy choices. Drab salad and chips accompany huge portions of overcooked meats odd combinations of seafoods and bread. A great gym and pool facility is repeatedly overshadowed by cigarette smoke floating in from the outdoor bar where patrons are permitted to smoke spite the hotels stated 100% smoke free claims. Smoke also blows through the reception and dining areas as they are all adjacent or linked to the outdoor bar area on the 3rd floor. During our stay multiple incidents of people smoking on balconies also not allowed but no apparent follow up from management. Staff are lovely and efficient but the hotel flavour is that of a boozy party element so allowing plenty of room in the gym and pool area. Workman associated with the upgrades smoke all over the building which serves to lower atmosphere and cheapen the Experience, sad for such great potential.
