The room is compact, but just right if you're not fussy for a no frills stop overnight. Tea, coffee supplied with kettle. Good sized mugs, however don't get the wooden teaspoons, surely metal ones are better, not going to be thrown away! Hairdryer. Lighting good, needed for the dreary dark decor in the room. Hanging space for clothes, but no drawers to place other clothes in if you wanted. Clean!! Shower room OK, would be a bit of a tight squeeze for the larger framed among us. Love the porthole window, very nautical for Portsmouth. Towels good. Bed is comfy, only issue was only 3 pillows supplied. TV ok, not too many channels to choose from unfortunately. Room not well thought out, not enough space to open shower room door without moving the chair away from the table. Communal area clean and tidy. Bar ok, bit pricey though. Didn't have breakfast. Staff helpful, polite and pleasant. Good location for all attractions, Only downfall was university end of year party raging until 4am.......

This stay was at a fairly low cost hotel. The room was very small as was the shower room but there was space for everything we needed and the shower was far better than others we have used in more expensive venues

Hotel was very clean and good food. Toilet very small. But I must stress book though the hotel direct. I booked though get a room who ripped me off 300 pounds and would not repay it back. Even though I canceled within 5 minutes of making the booking though them. So I rebooked though the hotel. The get a room was an American firm who charged £80 pounds tax on top of the room charge. So in the end it cost me £500 pounds for two nights.

We were greeted by really friendly reception staff. The room and communal areas were spotless. There was a lovely birthday surprise of balloons and drinks vouchers for my friend. The bar staff were outstanding and very attentive. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Stayed at the hotel overnight as tickets for a gig at the Guildhall. It was the nearest hotel to the guildhall. The room was spotless but a little small. The staff were very friendly and capeable. The only thing missing was a phone in the room. All in all a good enjoyable stay.
