Our suite was large with a separate living room and dining area with a large table with 6 chairs. There is a modern bathroom with two sinks and a nice walk-in shower with good soap/shampoo/conditioner/lotion and bathrobes. A separate toilet area with its own sink can be accessed from the living area as well as the bedroom. The breakfast was good with a freshly squeezed orange juice machine and nice options including smoked salmon. Easy parking and easy access to the city as well as the surrounding towns.

Blah at best - mediocre 2.5* to 3* hotel in poor location

This hotel is just somewhat blah. Not in a good or central location, not very nice (definitely is NOT a 4* hotel as Hotwire has it rated), rooms are VERY small. Really nothing special about this hotel, somewhat run down, basically a low end 3* hotel. The rooms were so small I had to get another room despite booking a double with two beds for my daughter, so I got her a room at a much cheaper 3* hotel (half the price) and that one was much nicer, fantastic location, bigger rooms, more amenities, newer and cleaner and way cooler. I wish I had booked that one (Social Hub) for me. Live and learn, won’t be booking this one again.

Regarding our location, while we are located outside the city center, many of our guests find the proximity to Martiniplaza and easy access to public transportation beneficial for their needs. Nonetheless, we regret that this was not ideal for your visit. We take pride in being a 4-star hotel and strive to provide a high-quality experience through our amenities and services. It is with regret that we hear your comparison to another hotel felt more favorable. We value all feedback as it helps us identify areas for improvement. Finally, we are committed to maintaining our property and apologize if any aspect did not seem up-to-date. We continuously work to ensure our guests' comfort and satisfaction. We would also like to highlight our convenient location for accessing everything in and around Groningen, with public transportation readily available to reach the city center in just 10 minutes. The Stadspark, right behind our hotel, is a beautiful spot to enjoy nature, and we are well-connected to Martiniplaza Event & Conference Center for those attending events. Very nice, except the Wi-fi kept dropping, very annoying. Room was good for one night's stay and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Liked that the hot items in the pans has glass tops so you can look inside w/o having to lift the lids. Otherwise, the items are pretty much the same as other hotels, except we had sausages also.

From the moment we arrived until the very last minute we were treated with unprecedented pampering! Elisa was there from beginning to end and along with her manager made our short stay during a heatwave season a wonderfully pleasant surprise. The shower, the bed and breakfast were great. Beyond that though, the understanding in accommodating our needs when we arrived before the check-in time and needed a place to get changed for the wedding was such a nice treat. Also the several discounts and facilitation of processes whenever possible was something we had never experienced before. We are certainly coming back and recommending this hotel! Congratulations on the quality of your service. Also really nice to see the incentive for reducing impact on the environment by offering vouchers whenever we skip a day on getting the room to be cleaned.

Check in at 0300hrs was handled excellently by night receptionist. Finding the hotel entrance, through the extensive roadworks, was a nightmare - better signs needed. Breakfast and (room service) evening meal were horrendous - food poor quality, cold and poor tasting. Outside noise, during night, prevented any sleep. Will never go there again!!
