I asked in reception why as Gold memeber in other Accor hotels in Sofia, Vienna, Budapest etc. I get on my room water, coffee machine, fruit or chocolate as a gift and in Groningen I dont get anything. Answer was very foggy................Iam in this hotel each year 1x2x in last 3 years........they are not interested that I would come back again.......so I will not return to this hotel unless I have to. MB

Modern Rooms but small. Location is not near city centre. Need to take a 15mins bus ride.

I was travelling to collect my daughter at the end of her year studying abroad. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when I arrived very late due to heavy traffic in Antwerp. The room was clean and well appointed. The restaurant meal was excellent and surprisingly good value, with exceptional service. This is my second stay at the hotel and I will certainly book again when I next visit Groningen. I highly recommend the hotel to other travellers.

The mercure at martiniplaza is a great hotel, it has good personnel and well equipped rooms. The hotel is clean and well maintained. For electric cars there are 2 charging points.
