Arrived to a very nice hotel, good welcome and clean. Room was good but would have preferred a better view. Had a nice buffet breakfast which was served in the tray, due to precautions of the Coronavirus, which I think was good

The location is good. The rooms as well as bathrooms are very small, the bed wasn’t very comfortable

ambience and staff excellent. The only criticism is the noise in the bedrooms. Main road is very busy all night so triple glazing needed ( note Van Der Valk has that with same road and makes huge difference )

Everything was fine, staff friendly but my room faced the main motorway and this was noisy well into the night and again from early in the morning.

Staff were freindly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable and the food was of a good quality. Breakfast was very good but quite expensive. A little variety or a wider choice of menu in the restaurant and also a couple of 'kids menu' options would be good . Car parking is an extra expense.

The room is fine, we asked for a double bed but got two singles which I guess can happen. We paid for breakfast which at 19 euro pp is quite expensive. When we looked for plates we found 4 dirty ones on the stack, when asking the waitress she discussed first I must be mistaken, and then mentioned there was someone working in the kitchen that tends not to clean plates too well. For the amount I paid for the breakfast I expect to at least have clean plates and not having to go into a discussion with the staff.

Very nice hotel which is close to major attractions in the city. Very good breakfast. Rooms are clean with comfortable beds. TV channels selection was great and internet speed was enough for conducting business.

From the arrival to check-out the hotel treated me well. Staff were really friendly, I need to print some documents and they did it as when I needed a taxi they booked taxi for me. The location of hotel is good. If you are driving with car the hotel has car park. It’s very easy to walk into Groningen centrum area from there. Food at Mercure plaza were good. The breakfasts had wide range of delicacies from Dutch traditions to more familiar ones. I really liked the high quality of foods and the selection of those. For drinks there’s juice automat and orange juice juicer so you can juice your own juice which was fresh and tasty. I tried ordering the Mercure burger from the room service and I was greatly surprised by the fact that was one of the tastiest burgers I have eaten. Couldn’t have expected that from a room service meal! I ordered the burger steak medium-rare and it was juicy and tender. The room were I stayed were modern and had air-conditioning. Bed was good and lighting worked well. My stay went well and with the friendly customer service I received I really can suggest you, thank you!
