We visited in July as a family of 4. Great location to explore the city centre- close to restaurants and coffee shops. Limited parking on site but public parking across the road. Staff superb. Great breakfast. Really enjoyed the pool area. Would recommend.

Decent, older, rather stately hotel a few streets from town center. Rooms are well maintained. Lighting good. Daily housekeeping. Windows open for fresh air flow, but rooms facing the main street will have some night noise. Air conditioning and heat seem to be adjusted by season. Bath area was fine except for high step into shower/bath. Large lobby with restaurant and bar area. Seasonal pool just behind. Parking options should be arranged prior to arrival.

Very pleasant receptionist at check-in, our bags were stored then delivered to our room when it was ready. Our king suite had a spacious separate bedroom with a very well-designed wardrobe which included plenty of shelving, it hid the safe plus a huge shelf for a suitcase. The bathroom was disappointing; the curved wall separating it from the bedroom was built in glass bricks so as there is no natural daylight in this space it necessitated having lights on all the time, hence whoever was still in bed then had to be wide awake. The very deep bathtub was a bit of a shock but the rubber mat helped. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice. The bad side here was my interaction with the lady who appeared to be a supervisor (nobody wears name badges). I happened to spill a bit of coffee & when I called this lady to apologise & bring it to her attention, her reaction can only be described as downright rude. There was no smile or pleasantry, she just stormed in to the service room to get some cleaning stuff & I could hear her banging & throwing things around, even one of the other wait staff was a bit embarrassed by this lady’s attitude. My major complaint about the hotel is that out of the five nights we stayed, the (only) bar, in the foyer, was closed for private functions from 7pm to 10pm on two nights. One night I actually had to go down to reception after 10pm to complain about the noise I could hear from my open window. Considering the price you pay at this hotel it’s astounding that they don’t appear to have much respect for their guests. As a diamond Accor member, very disappointing.

This was a very good hotel. It was pleasant from the moment we walked in. The room was clean and neat. I would have appreciated more draw space but that is the only complaint I have. The food in the restaurant was good. I had breakfast there as well as dinner. Magical town.

We were here the. Second week in September. The prior week had been quite cool and the AC was turned off and heat turned on. Our week was hot, the average temperature in our room was around 80 degrees. We were here three hot nights and they either refused or were unable to restore the AC. Not a good experience. That said the hotel was very nice, a good location. Very clean rooms. Good buffet breakfast. Minor issues, only one unused electrical outlet, no USB ports. The water temperature in the shower constantly changed. Could be at least four stars if they get the HVAC figured out.
