Loved this hotel. Stars should be awarded for now hotels keep or exceed their promise, not for how deep the carpets are. In that case this would be 5* + . Staff were lovely, rooms spotless, the place was thriving but the corridors were quiet - a must - they gave us an end of corridor room as we'd asked, the food was great and they have a lovely relaxing bar. We moved from here to a boutique hotel in the old town once work was done and we regretted every minute of it - at well over double the cost. We find Ibis exceeds it's promise.

Stayed for one night. We booked this hotel mainly because of the off street car park as we were travelling in old classic minis. Check in was efficient with friendly staff. Our room overlooked a main road but we had a good nights sleep. Room was clean with a decent shower, shower gel and shampoo supplied. Couldn’t get the WiFi to work anywhere in the hotel. Had a couple of beers and snacks in the bar just off reception before walking into Utrecht, probably took around 15-20 mins which we didn’t mind as we do a lot of walking anyway. Would definitely stay again.

Utrecht on a budget

We booked this budget IBIS for one night in Utrecht. Travelling with bicycles, they have a locked (overnight) storage facility. The front of the hotel was quite dirty with litter and cigarette ends, overflowing ashtrays. The inside is bright, the carpets in the hotel could do with a really good clean. The bedroom on the second floor was clean, we had air conditioning and could open our window. The room does not have any tea and coffee facilities. We had plenty of towels and you get one extra pillow (two would have been nice). The shower was clean and they provide you with shower gel and shampoo. Television had a variety of channels including English. We did not book any breakfast or eat/drink at the hotel. All staff were very friendly and welcoming.
