The city of Épernay has outdoor public car parks and two underground car parks, not far from the hotel.

Ibis Épernay is ideally located 0.5 miles from Épernay train station and 30 min from Champagne-Ardenne TGV station. Avenue de Champagne: 5 min. Le Millesium (congresses, trade fairs, concerts): 0.2 miles. In the heart of the town, guests can find the tourist office, cinema and restaurants close to the hotel. Located in Aÿ, Pressoria will take you on a journey into the winemaking heritage of Champagne.

Ideal for sightseeing in the city, our hotel is a 5-min walk from the champagne houses and the Epernay Balloon. The tourist office will advise you on the tours and visits of the champagne vineyards.

Had a very welcoming check in experience by a lovely young lady who explained everything in some detail to me including the car parking in the underground car park below. And how there was a special rate of €10 something for 2 hours there if the ticket was correctly validated, so I parked our car down there. Spent a lovely evening in town and upon checking out the following day presented my car park ticket for the expected validation to be told that I had to do that with the office at the car park. So I went there and explained that I was staying at the Ibis and needed the ticket validating and was directed to the cash machine. Which promptly charged me €34.40 for the privilege of 20 hours parking. I will be visiting Epernay again on my travels but will be staying well away from the centre. Either someone from the municipal car park needs to talk to the Ibis management, or vice versa, the Ibis management needs to talk to them. I obviously was not the first victim of this.

Dear Guests, We are sorry the staff at the parking did not explained you, you need to choose at the automatical machine the 24h package for 10.50 euros. My staff did well not the employee of the parking. it is there job to show you how to do that. Really sorry about that. best regards

Solid little hotel in the centre of Épernay

Parking in the vast underground car park below the hotel was simple and cheap if paying for multiple days. The in and out access within the fee makes things so much simpler. Buying a weeks parking for our 4 nights was the most cost effective approach and allowed us to head out for a drive through the nearby vineyards on our 3rd day. Breakfast, bar etc all very functional. It’s a great place as a base, but not where you would want to spend an evening - and that is how it is set up. We loved the free drink if you didn’t get bedding and towels changed everyday.

I know that the title of this review does not relate directly to the hotel, but may impact a decision to stay here. Rooms are small (even the bigger one we booked)- “Comfort Room”. Adequate for a 1 night stay but very noisy all night with people drinking in the square. (Not the fault of the hotel though). Small bar with fairly priced glasses of Champagne. Staff were helpful & friendly but could not really recommend good Champagne tasting. If you want to avoid the expensive tourist traps on the main run; try Bar A Vins Et Champanes in the town. Great tasting, great waiter for a fraction of the price. Good location but would probably not stay again on account of the city parking charges & noisy location.

Dear guest, We are sorry you didn't choose the underground carparking under the hotel to park your car. This is the best choice with the best price. They sell package for 24h (about 10 euros), 48h (about 16 euros), or more. Don't hesitate to ask for advices or help at the reception desk. best regards

Disappointing today - but nice location and rooms

Arrived at hotel. Got charged for both rooms again despite having already paid. Paid again as we didn’t want to cause a scene whilst checking in. Checked confirmation and confirmed we’d prepaid. Was told we’d be reimbursed after we proved pre-payment. Went out for evening meal. Came back for drinks before bed before 11pm. Stood at the bar but was ignored by staff who saw us arrive (2 staff members sitting chatting at reception - both ignoring the 4 of us at the bar). Eventually managed to get the attention of (disturb) the chatting staff who finally served us. A smile would have been nice?? Won’t be coming back here in a hurry to be honest. Not the usual Ibis experience sadly …. on the plus side, great location and nice rooms
