Dated, scruffy but nice staff

The hotel is very tired and the public areas especially the breakfast room feel like an extension of the car park. Ceilings are low and lighting appalling. Just couldn’t wait to leave. The floor numbers are complicated - not matching with the adjoining car park. Access though to the hotel if arriving by car is easy and the hotel gave clear instructions when requested. Hotel is very well situated for town centre. Good beds, good bathrooms but as always only one towel per person - I wanted to wash my hair so had to go to reception for an extra towel. AC a bit anemic and it was only 27C outdoors. Carpets stained in public areas, just very shabby in general. Access from car park positively shabby. Staff were absolutely charming. Breakfast a bit sad. Rotten black bananas on display !!

The reception is nice and welcoming. The rooms are like entering 3 decades ago. Aircon sits in the wall 50cm up from the floor… basically blows cold air on you without you being able to do anything about it. It is however located nicely and has underground parking. Reception speaks English and are helpful. Would probably work for 1 night. More than that there are other ibis hotels for a mere few euros extra to stay at.

Quiet and clean hotel. The room fitted all my family members ( 02 adults and 02 children). Very delicious breakfast as usual in Accor hotels. The only negative point is the elevator. Just One fonctioning elevator was a misery especially when you have a very young child. Because of the crowd a was compelled to Carry my boy and my luggage and use the stairs just to not miss the train.

This was a lovely hotel. We stayed 4 nights in October. Room was spacious enough and had AC (it was still hot this month). Very quiet and a comfortable bed. Bathroom was spacious enough, but I do not like that there is NO place to put your things in the shower - there's just this little, round soap holder that is completely useless. It's so annoying - why can't hotels give you some ledge or shelf space in the shower area to place your things - ugh! The breakfast was terrifice!! It's in a room down in the basement, which is cheerful, spacious, and cozy. The selections are very good!! You can choose from all kinds of breads, cereals, eggs, yogurt, fruits, jams, pastries, toast, crepes, juices..... There are two coffee machines that provide good, quality coffees of your choosing and a great selection of teas. The breakfast is probably the best part. The people are very friendly and helpful. It's located right in the Triangle of the older and charming part of Montpellier where there are many shops and gorgeous old-style streets lined with outdoor dining. It's also walking distance to the train station and the trams run right by there, so it's VERY convenient to everything. I highly recommend this hotel and where it's located.

I always check in IBIS MONTPELLIER triangle place de la comedie and next to Polygone center . I have even sometimes showed up without pre booking hence they were supportive. It is literally in the heart of the city just exactly where everyone would like to be when visiting Montpellier.
