To start with the location is terrible to get to if you dont have a car. The metro needs two changes and cost us way more than the money we saved by staying here compared to a Rotterdam hotel. Rooms and hotel are super old. Beds rock hard. Nothing about the hotel is five star. Housekeeping was terrible. Our safe did not work and shower only had luke warm water. Room was super cold and small. There was not one thing to like about. Stay away.

I booked a 2 night stay at Novotel Rotterdam-Schiedam. I had a good welcome when I arrived at the hotel and it wasn't long before I was in my room. The Superior Double room with sofa was spacious and well equipped. The memory foam bed was hugely comfortable, there was a mini fridge, tea/coffee facilities and everything expected of a hotel in its category. The bathroom was fine with a powerful shower and a selection of wall mounted soap and gel dispensers. There were plenty of parking spaces in the hotel. I was using public transport and there were a lot of options. Although it took longer I used the direct trams (21, 24) into Centrum from tram stop Schiedam Nieuwland which is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. I had an enjoyable stay at the hotel and I would quite happily return.

Fiquei com muita vontade de dar apenas a nota 01 após o momento do check-in, demorei 3 horas para realizar o pagamento através do sistema que queima pontos, simplesmente fui comunicado que não era possível e demorou 3 horas para fazer pelo call-center, foi algo bem cansativo e desagradável, consegui concluir apenas às 22h e apenas conseguir queimar os pontos de forma parcial, chegando no quarto a janela estava aberta, faltava toalha a recepcionista estava visivelmente trabalhando sem conseguir atender da melhor forma porque estava sozinha. Minha irmã pediu jantar por delivery, informou na recepção que estava esperando e a recepção não informou. No dia seguinte, já com uma nova equipe, tivemos uma experiência bem diferente, fizeram uma surpresa para minha mãe (era aniversário dela), corrigiram o meu check-in com a queima total de pontos de toda a hospedagem, inclusive para utilizar no café da manhã, guardaram e esquentaram o jantar para ela comer no dia seguinte, por conta do empenho da equipe para surpeender minha mãe não conseguiria dar uma nota menor do que 4.

Assolutamente un esperienza da non ripetere. Squallidissimo hotel privo di attaccapanni, cassaforte rotta, cialde caffè inesistenti e non troppo pulito… Consiglio anche di fare colazione in un qualsiasi caffè dei tanti belli a Schiedam dal momento in cui al Novotel costerebbe 24 euro a testa. Personale di giorno abbastanza disponibile, quello di notte totalmente inutile . Peccato perché dovremmo venire qui sovente nei prossimi due anni , cercheremo sicuramente altro…e sarà decisamente migliore!
