Stayed for 2 nights during the euro’s. A good option if you don’t mind staying outside the city centre. The hotel is in quite a quiet neighbourhood. Plenty of parking. As you would expect from a Mercure the rooms are pleasant, clean and comfortable. The en-suite was clean and the shower was good. Reception staff were superb.

Firstly the hotel is neither in Neuss nor anywhere near the centre of Dusseldorf. It is in a very quiet location 10-15 min walk from Norf train stop. Norf itself is 25 min train from Dusseldorf centre and can be reached directly from the airport in -40 mins. Taxi from airport is 50euro. Hotel is a little tired but very clean and the staff are excellent, very helpful. We had breakfast which is expensive at 18euro but plenty of choice and very nice. I would like more pillows as there is only one per bed. Would recommend but only if you’re fit enough to do lots of walking / hopping on off trains.

Nirmiteemehta Solo travel - TripAdvisor 인증 리뷰

First of all, calling the hotel Mercure Dusseldorf Neuss is false advertising because the hotel is neither in Dusseldorf nor in Neuss (already about 20 mins outside the city) but in a further outpost called Norf. If you're arriving by public transport, the Norf Station is a 15 minute walk from the hotel and the nearest bus stop a 7 minute walk (a LOT when you're travelling with luggage). Despite seeing that I was visibly struggling with my luggage, not only did no one on the staff not offer to help (which sucks but okay fine I've learnt not to expect much from German hospitality) but they went out of their way to give me a room a long walk away from the reception. Also the mattress wasn't firm and gave me a back ache. Do better Mercure, this should be embarrassing for you

Very good hotel, with very friendly staff at the reception and during breakfast. The breakfast is excellent and the room clean. There are a lot of parking spaces available. I will come back to this hotel.

Though looking a little run-down many things have been refurbished in this hotel and the stay was really pleasant. Friendly service, nice rooms - everything there what you need, including a good hotel restaurant, Located somwhow remotely there is still a gas station, supermarket and Italian restaurant close-by.
