This is the second time that my wife and I have stayed at this hotel, the first time in 2018 work was being carried out on the swimming pool and outside area, this is all complete now and looks very good. We use this hotel as a one night stop over between Freiburg in Germany and the port of Calais, for our purposes it is ideal. It is clean and has friendly, helpful staff, and it has a nice restaurant area, although on this trip the restaurant was closed on the evening we arrived, but there are several restaurants nearby. Breakfast was very good.

We stayed at this Ibis hotel on our way back from France to The Netherlands. We enjoyed our stay and the kids loved the availability of the pool (not too big but large enough). The rooms were clean and comfortable, staff was were very friendly and supportive. Only minus was that the airco didn't work in my room while it was hot outside but I slept quite OK though. We would for sure consider this hotel as our stopover again in the future.

Don’t stay if you want to sleep

When we arrived we saw a wedding being set up around the pool and the six piece band was directly under our window. Asked at reception what time the music would stop told 10.30 everyone out by 11. So at 11.10 l phoned reception to complain about the noise and asking what time the music would stop as we were shattered after a long drive from Italy and we had another long drive the following day. He asked me to close the window as he could hear the music l pointed out to him the window was closed that was how loud the music was in our room. He could do nothing. The music continued along with speeches till 12, then we had all the noise of guests chatting and things being moved and put away. So it was going up to 1 before things were quiet. Next morning no one knew why we had been lied too, no one knew why we had been put in a room with the live band underneath our window, no one could give us a refund because the staff are all young and only the manager could do anything and surprise surprise she/he was not present. We have since had an email and the manger is sorry for the “ inconvenience “ but no discount or refund. Not acceptable to have a wedding party with live music outside the hotel room window till turned 12 when guests are trying to sleep

Stayed for four nights. Good breakfast. Good rooms with opening windows. Air con not brilliant. Walls could do with a rub and plug in basin wouldn’t release without prising open with fingernails and a bit smelly at times. Would be nice if small fridge in room. Didn’t eat at hotel as very handy to other eating establishments and prices were hotel prices. Didn’t see anyone using pool and not sure whether it was open or not.
